Perfect stay for hiking Mt Butar! Beautiful views from the public deck restaurant. Beautiful pools though we didn't get to use them. Breakfast food was good and simple.

Very rocky road to get to the hostel. I also didn't care for the very dim lights in the room, made it hard to see. Very few electric plugs.

Location, hot springs and the views! Amazing views of the lake and the mountains. Fresh air, quiet!

Ants in the glamping tent was not so nice, however there were not too many so it did not bother us.

Everything about this place. I stayed here for a short retreat for about 3 nights. I didn't need to go out of this hostel except for when I climbed Mount Batur (which they helped to arrange for me as well) because this place has everything; comfortable room, amazing Batur Lake and Mount Abang views, friendly staff, fine food, and most importantly, hot spring pools that you can use every time as you please.

Lots of fruit flies in the warung because the place is near a vegetable garden. However, the staff will gladly help you to overcome this issue by giving you a fly trap or candle to expel them.

Great view over the lake and Mount Agung - to be enjoyed within the hot spring pool at the center of the hotel! Very cool location and good food, also conveniently located at the start of a path to hike up Mount Batur.

Nothing to note about the hotel itself - only that the taxis offered are on the expensive side (450k for 1 hour 30 min to go to Sidemen), as the apps don’t seem to work in the area.

Hôtel plein de charme, logement sympa (mêmes les tentes), personnel d’une extrême gentillesse, endroit absolument idéal pour effectuer la montée du Mont Batur (sunset) et… pour effectuer la montée du Mont Batur. Guides très sympathiques. Cuisine correcte. Deux petites piscines d’eau très très chaude!

Il n’y a rien d’autre à faire que la montée du Mont Batur, même un farniente au bord de la piscine est difficile tant les mouches sont présentes (d’accord, l’hôtel n’y peut strictement rien). Comptez 450.000Rp par personne pour le guide.

Good location for the hike up mount Batur. The two hot water pools are amazing, especially at night. The food they cook is decent and the bed was comfortable.

The facilities are pretty basic. No locks on shower doors and see through bamboo cabins as toilets. No hooks or anything in the shower to hang your stuff. No power outlets in the dorm except for one in the corner.

De beide hotsprings worden elke dag schoongemaakt, dat is uitstekend! Je kan elke dag kiezen uit een aantal soorten ontbijt en avondeten. Het is ook goed als je het avond eten gebruikt als lunch en in de avond nogmaals een keuze doet. Volgens mij liggen de matrassen in de 6 persoonskamer op een lage verhoging, (lijkt op een pallet). De matrassen in de 4 persoonskamer liggen op de grond. Elke dag wordt het bed opgemaakt. En ik denk verschoond als er nieuwe gasten komen. Er zijn verschillende plekken waar je kan zitten, bij de warme bronnen, waar je eet bij de receptie, maar ook nog een andere vergelijkbare zitplaats. Daar kan je zelf water koken, etc. Bij de receptie bestel je je eten en drank (fris en arak). Bij elk huisje/slaapzaal is een mogelijkheid om vers water te tappen (prima!) Voor de volledigheid, de jongens/personeel maken elke dag verse patat zoals ik dat ook deed! Het personeel sprak Engels en eentje sprak ook Frans. De meeste mensen komen hier voor één nacht omdat ze in de vroege ochtend (3 uur) naar de top van de mount Batuur wandelen. Zelf mag ik dat niet meer en kwam voor het uitzicht en de bronnen. en bleef meerdere nachten. Fantastisch! Jammer dat ik mijn verblijf niet kon verlengen. Wifi werkt uitstekend.

Dacht dat ik beter tegen de vele vliegen kon, helaas kunnen zij daar niets aan doen.

Views are great and the hot pool is fantastic specially at night. For the price it has the place is good but some things could be improved. It is 10 minutes walk from the "center" on a dirty road hard to do with a motorbike.

When we arrived the cups in the room were used, when we asked them to changed them they just rinsed them with tap water in the garden and put them back in their place pretending they were clean just with that. No soap or anything. In general staff was not very talkative, and consequently not very useful. Communication wasn't the best. But for the price we paid the place is nice.

The hostel is amazing, super well located, clean, and a great breakfast. You can even try the Balinese awake shot. They view is incredible and the tour guide they arrange to climb the Mt Batur is the best!!! Ahhh, and the hot spring pool...great great great!!!

Perfect place to stay if you are climbing Mount Batur. The location is actually the start of the trek. There is a hot spring infinity pool and warm infinity pool you can enjoy after the hike. The views are amazing!! Friendly staff and fantastic food - the free breakfast was delicious and filling (I recommend the omelette and a fruit shake), and I enjoyed their vegetable soup. Comfy beds, clean and a very relaxing vibe. Highly recommend staying here!

Bugs but it could not be helped as we were in a tent. Shower head holder broke but I’m sure they’ll fix it.

Their bathrooms in the huts are in horrible condition, still have nightmares about it 😱 somebody has to explain them how to clean properly, you'd need a lot of chalk and chemicals to resolve that horrible room you're supposed to shower in, one of the worst I've seen so far. 🤮🤢

We had the family room, but the normal rooms looked nice too. The hotspring pool and view on the lake are amazing. Resto/bar cozy and breakfast ok.

Beautiful pool and perfect location to start the Mt Batur Hike from. We stayed in a dorm and they are very simple but all you need.

There are a lot of flies however this is not limited to the hostel. It appears to be the whole area. Would have been nice if they put in a fly solution in the dining area

Super nice hostel! I'd come back again! Nice room, comfortable. Clean beautiful territory! Amazing relaxing hot springs! Easy to bok trekking to Batur and hostel located close to mountain, you can start walking right from the hostel!

The surrounding of the hostel, the facility, the staff, the stanning location with the pools and the view. The food was good And vibe just makes you want to stay!

The flies... But it's not a reason no to go there, just be ready. They come in the morning and leave at the afternoon I'll recommend to either be in the pool or go for a ride during the day :) Other than that just a fun and beautiful place that I'm happy I didn't miss!

It’s a basic but quaint place. It has great views. It has 2 plunge pools, 1 with natural hot water. My cabin was large with a large bed and it was ensuite. Although it’s located at the end of a rough road it’s not too far from the main road. Staff were friendly. Really quiet and peaceful but expect the early call from the cockerels.

My cabin only had wooden window shutters, no glass, so it was a toss up between having the windows and doors open for natural light and the views or close everything for privacy. I waited most of the day for the staff to refill the water container. The tv didn’t work but I didn’t bother to report it until check out. The kettle was a bit hit and miss but did boil eventually. Little points, nothing major that ruined the stay, I’m just listing them here.
