Dieser Ort ist kein Hotel, es ist ein Erlebnis. Vom ersten bis zum letzten Moment haben wir uns hier unfassbar wohl gefühlt. Alle MitarbeiterInnen vor Ort waren durchgehend herzlich, freundlich und immer ansprechbar. Das Essen war ein absoluter Traum! Die Auswahl war riesig und wir haben viel probiert, alles war sehr empfehlenswert. Ein Muss: die hausgemachte chocolate mousse! Alles auf dieser Anlage war stets sauber und im besten Zustand, Kajaks, SUPs Yoga- und Schnorchelausrüstung konnte man gegen ein kleines Deposit ausleihen. Es ist sehr angenehm, so nah am Strand zu schnorcheln (das Riff ist aber hier nicht das Schönste, wir sind dafür mit Kajaks zur kleinen Insel gegenüber gepaddelt. Wichtig zu beachten: man muss sich auf dieses Erlebnis einlassen. Man ist Teil der Natur und muss daher nun mal damit leben können, wenn mal ein Gecko oder eine Spinne im Badezimmer sitzt. Außerdem zu beachten: Wir haben ein Bale gebucht und da diese zu allen Seiten offen sind, gibt es nur einen Ventilator außerhalb der Moskitonetze, sodass es nachts sehr heiß sein kann. Wer damit nicht zurecht kommt, sollte lieber einen Bungalow mit Klimaanlage buchen. Wir waren nach den 4 Tagen dort sehr erholt, glücklich und würden Jedem dieses Abenteuer empfehlen!
Vorab möchte ich betonen, dass dies keinesfalls eine Kritik an der Unterkunft ist, denn sie haben ihr Bestes gegeben, um dagegenzuwirken. Aber dennoch ist der Hinweis wichtig, weil wir alle dafür verantwortlich sind: Vor allem nach einem Regenschauer kam es vor, dass Unmengen an Müll an den Strand gespült wurden. Es war schön, dass auch alle Gäste sich engagiert und mitgeholfen haben, säckeweise Müll zu entsorgen. Es ist trotzdem erschreckend und regt hoffentlich alle zum Nachdenken an, auf Plastik zu verzichten oder zumindest für ordentliche Entsorgung zu sorgen!

Stunning eco stay on an idyllic island, incredible yoga Shala views, horses, snorkelling.
The staff/customer service aspect definitely needs improvement, especially considering the price point. Sometimes waited approx 20 + minutes for staff to bring menu/take food order - ended up getting up myself most of the time. Had a poor massage experience, which was thankfully acknowledged by the staff with a discount, but disappointing nonetheless.

The accomodation is on a really nice and peacefull island. The entire area of Eco Lodge is so nice and lovely. Living in a Bale was such an amazing experience for us. And the Bale was fantastic. We had everything we needed and the private bathroom was also so good and clean.
The smoothies and the pizza and pasta were very delicious. I drank my best Pina Colada there I have ever had.
The staff was so nice and helped us any time.
Maybe as a kind feedback: beach chairs would be nice on the grass (so on the second row) good as well because sometimes it was too windy sitting on the beach directly.
The food didnt came for my husband and me at the same time so sometimes I ate my dish and when I finished my husband got his dish.

It was an amazing experience. The island is very authentic, very nice people, quiet, nature. Everything you need to breathe and disconnect.
The staff was amazing and made the experience very pleasant. I would highly recommend the morning horse walk experience ! Unforgettable!

Gili Asahan is paradise on earth. Think Robinson Cruso vibes. It's truely wonderful. I stayed in one of the Bale rooms. It was all open. There were bamboo blinds for privacy. It was gorgeous. The staff were wonderful. I did my morning yoga on the open hill top Shala. Walked around the island. Took one of the paddle boards out each day. Snorkelled. Sunset walk every evening along the beach. You need to stay here. It will not disappoint.

We had wonderful days in the Eco Lodge. We didn’t want to leave this paradise and decided to extend our stay and changed our complete travel schedule. Everyone who is attached to this lodge is super friendly and helpful. For someone who enjoys nature and less crowded places this is the place to go to.

The staff were great! Ari and the team went above and beyond making our arrival and stay perfect. The bale options are well thought out and tastefully done! The restaurant is really good with amazing breakfast included in the price - all reasonably priced food and drinks!

we loved the food, the location, and just the overall comfort level of the place. The amenities are great and we really enjoyed the sunset cruise, paddle boards, snorkeling, and swimming.
we liked everything! there is not air conditioning (it’s an eco lodge after all) so fragile travelers should understand that.

Located on a remote island with only a few accommodations. Quiet. A special experience to sleep outside without walls covering around, just some wood blinds and mosquito net around your bed. Kayaks/SUP to lend for free. Quite nice snorkeling on the house reef but also on the small island next to Asahan. Friendly staff! They helped us organize taxi back to Kuta in Lombok when we screwed up our on plans of taxi :-) Relaxing stay!
Perhaps not an experience for everyone. Sleeping outside in this season means it’s quite hot in night time and birds are playing orchestra in early morning hours! Just cold (or less cold!) brackish water for showers. Restaurant is just OK, but there is another great restaurant next doors. No stores (or at least with very low stock of groceries) in low season so bring snacks, mosquito repellent etc in advance. Sun beds are worn out.

We literally loved the place!
We took the BAKE room, it's very nice.
The Eco Lodge is really beautiful, clean, and the staff is so friendly.
I will be honest, there is only one thing concerning the Eco Lodge we were not satisfied, it's the food.
When we saw the menu with so many Italian food, we were expecting quality. We tried pizzas, pastas, raviolis... but actually we didn't find it really good.

we love how everything is well planned and well prepared.
First, the accommodation. the design and building materials are something to be appreciate for. there are no cables seen, we have blinds for every door and window, door directly from the outside to the bathroom so we don’t bring sands to the bedroom, place to hang our wet clothes, mosquito nets, hammock, everything!
second, we were surprised that there are so many activities to offer within the village itself, from walking (around the island, to sunset point, to sunrise point, greeting the cattle), snorkeling, kayaking, paddling, boat ride, or just simply chilling (various spots available). our four-day stay was not enough!
third, the food in Nautilus resto was fantastic. the waiters were all friendly, food portion is huge, and it was all delicious. my fav was the grilled fish!

Good territory, good service, they do have place for yoga on the hill, snorkelling spot just in front of the beach and a few more in walking distance. Good food at the restaurant (italian and local). Very welcoming and friendly staff. The Island itself is virgin and you can have a long walk along the beach at low tide.
There is no hot water. It is okay at the day time when it is hot outside but when it is evening and windy, warm shower would be great. This was not the big problem though. And as this is eco lodge so this is understandable. I would suggest to put some fans at the restaurant - flies can be really annoying in there.
This is not the disadvantage but it’s good to know before booking is made - if you stay at Bale, keep in mind that this is not a room with the walls, you literally sleep in the forest )) and your bed is hidden from everyone by the curtains. So birds, rain, other nature sounds are accompanying your sleep, for me this was really calming in the end but it took time to get used to the place which was so open.

the hotel and the island are simply outstanding. we enjoyed every second on our short stay there. the possibility to go snorkeling directly in front of your room is just great. it’s cool that you can rent kayaks, SUPs and snorkel stuff free of charge. the food is really great and the price value is fantastic

We had a wonderful time at Gili Asahan, Elda and Ari are fantastic and truly welcoming. I went with my young daughter and we managed to do so much in a short stay and quite easily - nice snorkeling just off the beach, boat trip, beautiful sunset views from the hill. While they don’t cater to kids per se there are so many things to do, we had a fantastic time. And the horses! Also, special mention to the restaurant, excellent quality and options. Hope to be back soon.

Everything about this place is absolutely amazing! The decor is so beautiful, there are so many small details about the eco lodge that make it so beautiful and big plus they are very eco friendly. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. It is definitely one of the best hidden gems in Lombok!

although it is a eco lodge it was not obvious that the shower had only salty water… maybe they could write / warning it somewhere.
