Holiday Inn Istanbul - Kadikoy by IHG

Smell. We had to deal with: 1) Smoke smell although we are not smokers and we booked non-smoking room. 2) Sewerage smell during all of our stay.

The breakfast was really exceptional. Selection of food was great. And the food was delicious! The personal was kind and at most helpful in all aspects of my staying.

I could not say that there was anything I did not like. However, the only thing that I found a bit annoying were the pillows, which were a bit too high, this is thick, for me.

Shower room was of adequate size, receptionist Sabina was smiling and welcoming

1) View from room on a 2nd floor - right to the Bus Overstay Station, it's a Bus Parking area for big bus station. A lot of noise from Bus Washing machine. Seagulls are drinking water from puddles...not as romantic as it seems... To reach the area where they sell at least kebabs, you have to cross a bridge over a drainage canal and then walk down a very dark alley. Only God knows how I didn't get stabbed there... All in all, the neighborhood is pretty sketchy—it’s nothing but a highway, some dodgy-looking buildings, and motorcycle parts shops...
