Centralised location for the nearby attraction so that I can be there earlier before other tourist that came with buses. Private enough from other cabin. With good facilities and nice bed.

Big renewed apartman, good equipped, ideal for 4 people. Perfect location for Fjallabak and other sights.

Great little cabin that had everything you could wish for.
Nice little useful kitchen, the bed/mattress was great.
Cabin is located in a nice and quite rural place.
Not far from the main road and in between many of Iceland awesome sights.

I was surprised. It is looking better in reality then on photos. Owner is a really nice person, place was super clean. I highly recommend that place.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings and lodgings, what a wonderful place to end each day. The host was so pleasant and responsive, I felt very at home here. Quiet and only a little out of the way (which is how I prefer it), this spot was a great jumping off point for our highland adventures, but also very close to the ring road. Can’t recommend a stay here enough!

all the facilities were top notch and much better than we expected. shower is very nice and roomy and kitchenette was perfect with micro, mjni fridge and stovetop. beds and comforters were also extremely comfy and we got good rest there.
its a little farther to main sites but totally worth it for the great value and amenities in this cabin

The property, amenities and the hot tub is great. clean, private and every bit of detail is taken care of by the host (Dagny). It’s also fairly close to Highway 1 and easy to locate. The best part is the host’s willingness to help. we had a rough snowfall previous night and our car got stuck in snow (twice). The host kindly co-ordinated with her neighbour and helped pull us out of the sticky situation. We really do appreciate that a lot.

Quiet and peaceful location. All facilities for cooking own meals available. We enjoyed the hot tub. The host was easily reachable and responsive.
There were a lot of bugs/flies in the house and it was disturbing.

We've rented house #1 in January. I would say it was an okay choice for our plan, which was to discover south shore as much as it is possible. We have had enough time to reach even diamond beach from there. The place was nice and clean. Perfect for 2 people but it was a bit small for 4 of Us. Check-in, communication is effective.
The hot tube is amazing after a whole day driving and hiking.
It is value for the money. Cheap enough for you to know, it is far from the main road( extra 20-25 minutes to reach the place from road #1). This extra 1 hour of driving every day would make me reconsider to book this place again in the future. Otherwise it is a great choise.

The place was beautiful. In the middle of nature, away from the crowds.

Elin cottages are great to explore all west and south locations and even Landmannalaugar is nearby. We enjoyed view of Hekla and had a rest in hot tub each day, which was amazing.

Elin's guesthouse was our first stop when we arrived in Iceland. We got there late, but received a warm welcome from the hosts. The heater was nice, and the room was quite well furnished. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable and clean. It was a great four days that we spent here.
Without a doubt, I'd suggest it and would like to return.

The hut was very warm and comfortable. If you like "middle of nowhere" it's right for you. The kitchen was greatly equipt, all you need in the bathroom and a jacuzzi next door for all guests. Everything was clean, the wifi was good Elin was very helpful and easy to contact. The size of the place is good for a small family. If you don't have a plan to dive too far away while you stay there, I highly recommend it for even a few days.
heating was a bit too loud in the bedroom

It was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - towels, staple food left over from other guests such as salt and peppar/oil, which helped with cooking.
The hot tub was quite cool when we arrived but promptly rectified by Elin when we mentioned this. Elin was very easy and quick to communicate with which was helpful.

Very remote and the most picturesque location. The cabin was well equipped, warm and comfortable. Perfect spot for viewing the Northern lights. An added bonus was the hot tub too

Everything was great
Lovely little cottage with everything you need. The bathroom and the kitchen were really clean and had everything there, even coffee, tee and spices to cook with. The hosts pay attention to every detail and therefore we felt like home. The hot tub is also really nice and it's amazing to wake up with a view like this.

Nice and cozy cabin in good location for day trips to the Golden Circle. Everything was clean and Elin is a great host. Our favorite accommodation in Iceland! :)

Very comfortable and clean, great views, all appliances needed for cooking in kitchenette. Very easy check in.
Photos made out the 'hot tub' was on your balcony. Photos also hid the fact that the 2 cabins were quite close together. Despite these two factors, it was still a very comfortable 2 night stay.

We had a great stay. Very quiet and lovely place. Everything is perfectly equipped (kitchen, bathroom...). The hot pot is a very nice add on.

Great place and Eline is a wonderful host. the cottage is very comfortable. It wad easy to cook and we cook a lot. there is hot tub and it wad great to use it after a long traveling day. We had 4 great days. Thanks Eline (-:
