Great location in a wonderful property with a beautiful garden + pool. Rooms were very spacious and well appointed. Walking distance to town. Very friendly host and staff who looked after us well. Breakfast was excellent. We will surely return!

The entrance gate temporarily needed manual opening and closing. Parking space a bit tight especially for an SUV.

in a garden room. issues with bugs on the first night as windows had been left open by housekeeping. were not warned to close windows- given citronella burner on request. sliding bathroom door problematic. staff addressed complaint but door still an issue so no real privacy when using bathroom.

Really enjoyed staying at Vive la Vie. The staff were really helpful ; the accommodation was very comfortable; the swimming pool super after a day exploring Franschhoek and the surrounding vineyards; the location just 15 minutes walk to town (recommend walking during daylight) & finally the breakfast just excellent.

Fresh and generous

Vive La Vie is an exceptional place to stay. quietly situated yet close to the main streets in Franschhoek. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are superb. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Well located for exploring Franschhoek and the accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. The pool was great and the breakfast was outstanding.

Was led to believe our room had off street parking, off the main street maybe, but we instructed to park in the side street. The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was good and the staff helpful & attentive. The garden was very dry and there were some dead plants and weeds, whole thing looked like it needed water and some attention. Pool area was inviting, very disappointed to find out only after I had booked that they had no load shedding mitigation measures (quite surprising, given how long we have lived with this Eskom problem and you are catering to international guests). The flat screen TV was a postage stamp! Completely too small for the size room, if you laid in bed you needed binoculars to see it - overall the furnishings and decor are very tastefully done and the room was very comfortable & clean

Everything! We had an extra large double bed which was extremely comfortable. A quick walk into town and the market and the breakfast was amazing. Perfect little guest house that we would definitely visit again.

There was only street parking available for the room that we booked. The establishment does not have a generator / inverter.

The location is very close to the center of Franschhoek. It is in walkable distance.

The food during breakfast was really good but a bit too much for us. Maybe you can ask quests upfront what they prefer for breakfast to avoid food waste.

I liked the privacy, the breakfast was well prepared and lots to eat. The rooms were neat and clean. Loved the NFLIX option. A good choice.

Peter is phenomenal. Welcomed us warmly and made us feel so much at home. Anastasia and Shantal were incredible, very helpful and met our every need.

Lovely suite ,we had the king suite. Plenty space and very comfortable,tastfully decorated. Good location away from busy main rd, fabulous breakfast and staff. We will return.

Parking a bit tricky re the angle,and very limited. Our unit had parking,but when we returned to the BB the parking bay was occupied, by a non resident visitor ( only 2 parkings in total available). We then had to move our car when they left later,not really convenient. I would prefer a seperate heater preferably an oil one in the room and not use the aircon as a heater blowing hot air, which drys out the air terribly.

It’s a warm, welcoming establishment. Everyone from the owners to the staff were generous and friendly. The property is large and gave us enough privacy. The property is also a minute away from the centre of Franschhoek.
