I was there the night before the slow boat: everything was pleasant and clean. The receptionist was exceptionally kind: gave advices for money change, sim, dinner, she even tought me some Laotian that came useful for the rest of the trip :)
I did not do for the gibbon experience, but this hostel was clearly a valid reference point for everybody who was going!

The dorm was comfy and Amor was very helpful with booking the slow boat for us and packing us lunch.
The room didn’t have natural light coming in so it was harder to wake up.
