MAN Guest Polonnaruwa

Nilusha is a welcoming host and very friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and good value.

We absolutely loved our stay at Man Guest. Nilusha is an incredible host and we are so grateful for the hospitality we received whilst staying here. We had two rooms, one was the beautiful corner room which has the most stunning views over the paddy fields. Absolutely gorgeous to wake up to! And the other was a twin room which had a lovely balcony space also with lovely views. Both rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, peacefully quiet and had excellent aircon. We were very comfortable. The food here is just incredible. Nilusha home cooks every breakfast and evening meal and they were truly feasts! We were able to experience so many different delicious traditional Sri Lankan foods it was absolutely amazing. Nilusha is an amazing cook and the food was clearly prepared with so much love. It was amazing. Thank you so much! The location of Man Guest is superb. It is only a 5 min walk to the ticket entrance / museum of the ancient city which was great. Also you can hire bikes from the guest house to explore the ancient site. We did this early in the morning and then returned for a rest in the afternoon and as we were so close we were able to go back out to look round the museum later in the afternoon. Nilusha also runs exercise classes at the guest house and there was one the evening we were staying! It was brilliant! Thank you so much! Man Guest is a family run hotel, and the charming family are all very welcoming and hospitable. Our host prepared two of the most delicious meals we have eaten in three weeks of touring Sri Lanka, and the breakfasts were equally as delicious. And very reasonably priced. It is in a great location to the archeological museum and ruins which we thoroughly enjoyed on bikes rented from the hotel. We spent an evening on a lake safari, watching elephants and a beautiful sunset. They organised a car transfer to our next destination for the same price as Pick Me, and accompanied us on the journey. We thoroughly recommend this friendly hotel.

Location was fabulous with all rooms upstairs with paddy field views from the balcony. Close to the ancient ruins so easy to get to early in the day and then come back and check out. The room was large spacious and clean, dinner was delicious and plentiful. Staff and host were a delight
