the coffee shop
I ordered room service dinner and the food was below par. I ordered a T borne and sadza with veges, and was given recycled kail only for vegetables

They decided to start moving laundry and bins at 3am and made so much noise couldn’t sleep

Lovely room and location
All I needed was an invoice. Front desk staff were very unhelpful and even when the management staff came to talk to me,they promised to assist via email just to get me out and months later, I don't hear from them and then am told I can't be helped.
8.0
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are quite spacious and the food is decent. The location is central.
The bathrooms only have baths, no showers. It would also be helpful if it was possible to add meals directly with the booking instead of having to negotiate this separately with the restaurant.

It’s centrally located, making it easy to move from place to place.
The food at is quite expensive, even by Zimbabwean standards

it’s location was good, some of the staff were friendly and helpful
the WiFi was bad, no safe in the room, tv remote not working, and no room bin. all of this I mentioned and was not attended to

The breakfast was excellent
I went to the coffee shop and could not find a square plug for my laptop and phone to charge, that was extremely disappointing. That meant I could work or communicate. I suggest you have a reserve adaptor
6.0
The location is very convenient as it’s right in the city centre.
The rooms are a little outdated . Dinner was not tasteful & no effort was put into the presentation of the meal. Had to bath with cold water as there was no hot water coming out the morning we checked out & considering it’s winter - that’s really uncalled for - something that shouldn’t even be acceptable. Bulawayo Rainbow should take notes from Rainbow Towers Harare.

After all the faults listed in my 'didn't like' section, I can't really say I liked anything, except the staff were nice and helpful.
The only other good thing was the ability to pay by card and in the correct amount. Read my tips as to why this is important.
It's hard to know where to start...
I arrived on the most disgustingly dirty overnight train and was looking forward to a hot shower. There was no hot water.
Before discovering this, I went to charge my phone and camera and turn on the TV.
There was no remote for the TV, so I called reception. They sent someone up, without telling them the reason, so he then had to walk back down 3 flights of stairs to get a remote.
Did I mention the lifts only work 50% of the time?
Next I discover there is only 1 empty power point far from the bed, but it doesn't work.
I call reception again. The maintenance man says that point has been disconnected. He then changes the plug of the TV so it will fit in the other kind of socket ( something about a different voltage, I have no adapters for that one) which gives me a power point that technically works but does not feel safe. See pic.
This has taken about an hour so I decide to go to the supermarket to get food before taking my shower. When I try to lock the door, it just swings open.
One panel of the door is like a hinge that bends rather than a solid door and as the lock is on this part, it just doesn't meet with the wall anymore.
Another call to reception and they say they will give me a new room. Another 30mins of waiting and a phone call later, I am moved to a new room.
Where the other one had a safe, this room does not. There is a TV remote, a working power point and a better, but not entirely intact door.
So off to the supermarket I go. Read my tips for more info about shopping.
On my return I am finally ready for a lovely long hot shower and nap. But alas, there is no hot water.
I only stayed overnight, and had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food is OK, but significantly overpriced. Read my tips as to why I had to eat there.
