El Dorado Inn

The room was very confortable. The microwave and fridge were life savers. Breakfast was delicious and consistent. Love the turkey bacon. Coffee was great and I could have it any time of the day. They could change my american dollars into guyanese dollars, so I did not spent time in a change house. Hotel has a bar, which opens from Thursday to Sunday, they serve fish and chips and chicken wings, not the best, but ok. Also, next to my room there was a water dispenser, a nice feature in a very hot country. I can not say anything about surrounding areas as I did not leave the hotel in my free time. You have to pay in advance your whole stay, It was ok for me.

The room was very very very hot, because in the afternoon the sun light hit the wall... Even with AC the room was still hot, but the staff gave me an additional fan, so it was ok.

it was walking distance to work, the hospitality was great and food was excellent.

Location is good. Close to markets. Breakfast (I only had 2 in my 8-night stay was not something to wake up for. A little more local dish may have been good for both local and international guests looking for something more meaningful. Rooms were clean and well maintained given the age of the building. The Clean courtyard and well maintained. Staff were friendly (both in Front Office and Overnight Security). I appreciate their helpfulness and courtesy.

the room had a bad smell. The restaurant only had 1 option for dinner and very few options for breakfast
