Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location. Nice air conditioning. Good supply of hot water. I’d stay here again.

Wi-Fi was too intermittent to do any serious work or make video calls. The room was basic. I found the bed slightly uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. The room could have done with a mini fridge.

Short walk to beach and everything Samara has to offer. Great complimentary breakfast and nice restaurant. friendly helpful staff. Clean facility.

The team who run this hotel are so helpful and friendly. The free breakfast is fantastic - you can choose what you want from the menu. You're not just limited to a tipico breakfast. We didn't eat dinner here but I think we should have, based on how tasty the breakfast was. The aircon in the room is very good. The room was very clean and the shower was hot. The hotel is also located in a great place - only a few minutes walk to the beach and also to the bus stop for San Jose.

The decor is pretty dated but that didn't matter to us, given how comfortable the beds were and the fact there was aircon and hot water (which isn't always the case in Costa Rica!). The WiFi is a little weak in the rooms closer to the back of the hotel, but you can just go sit in the upstairs terrace overlooking the road to get a stronger connection.

Rooms are basic and have no window, can get hot and humid, but the airconditioning works to avoid this

Everything was perfect. I was agreeably surprised by the hotel. Casa Esmerelda is close to everything in Samara. I don't know if it was the owner or the manager, but the service was exceptional. I was travelling alone, and he was very helpful. He was also very accommodating, and managed to make some changes to my breakfast. The room was also very clean. The air conditionning was working perfectly.

Everything was perfect. I don't have any negative comment to mention.
