Everything plus one. Such an amazing cabin

Working out of town for a few weeks and did not want to be cooped up in a hotel room for that amount of time. What an amazing option this property was! Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing.

Wow! I don't really know where to start because there are so many amazing things to say about this hidden gem of a property! My husband and I spent the weekend here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Even though we arrived late Friday evening, Michael met us at the cabin and showed us where everything was and how everything worked, etc. His attention to detail as a host from the fresh flowers, to the robes for the hot tub, to the fishing tackle and gear and the supplies for the fire made our trip that much more enjoyable. The cabin and property itself is a perfect, relaxing, and peaceful paradise! The cabin is small and cozy and well equipped with everything you need. And the property and lake! There aren't enough words to describe how absolutely beautiful it is! It is so quiet and peaceful and you feel like you are alone and hours away from everything, yet you are only 15 minutes away from town and everything you need. We enjoyed waking up to stunning sunrises that you can see from the bed, seeing the wildlife (birds, bald eagles, turtles, and a gator), utilizing the kayaks and fire pit that is provided, and just relaxing! It really was the best way to celebrate our anniversary and we can't wait to go back! We would love to make it an annual tradition.

Great place to get away and relax. Great view overlooking lake. Just 15 minutes from lake city and 30 from ichetucknee springs. The host Michael was great. I spoke to him about the fishing in the lake and when he got there to check us in he had brought me some bait to fish with. We had a bad storm come thru and he text me to make sure all was good. He didn’t have to do either of these but he did and it was greatly appreciated. If you are looking for some peace and quiet this is the place to go. It’s not real big so it’s perfect for one or two people. I will definitely look this place up if I ever stay in that area again.

This place was everthing i hoped for and more. It was quiet and peaceful and not another Soul around. clean and beautiful right down to the fresh flowers in the cabin. The owner went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. the surrounding nature with everything you could ask for. I can't wait to go again

everything was perfect the cabin was comfortable .and beautiful. michael was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay and was very nice. i would give him a 10 THat is what made it so nice. i would return.

Everything about this cabin is perfect, the scenery, location, owner’a hospitality. I enjoyed every second spent there. Is the perfect place to relax away from the city and the same time is close to restaurants and essential needs.

Once again the Do Duck Inn was the perfect getaway! Love the new gazebo and "Beach" area they created by the water.

This is our second time staying at Do Duck Inn, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The property is beautiful and private, and the lake is well-stocked with bass and bream. We went out on the water several times a day, every day, and only once saw another person (though we did see a rather large, but shy, gator)! We cooked out every night on the charcoal grill which made the food taste so much better than cooking on gas, and the evenings afterward were spent having long conversations sitting out by the fire pit. We especially enjoyed the hot tub for relaxing those muscles strained after hours of fishing! The cabin is charming and cozy, well stocked with everything you could need, and the beds are very comfortable. The screened-in porch is perfect for sipping a cup of coffee (or a mimosa) and watching the sun come up. Michael is welcoming and friendly and the best kind of host. He met us at the cabin when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed, including his contact information should a need arise. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be, and we didn’t want to leave! If you are looking for a getaway to fish and relax, the Do Duck Inn is the perfect place!

This cabin is wonderful. Quiet and secluded, but close to I-10 and I-75. The host, Michael, is very attentive and strived to make our stay perfect in every way.

Wonderful and relaxing!
My husband and I had a great time at this property celebrating our anniversary. The cabin is perfectly set up and the owner thought of everything. The place was clean and the linens all smelled great. You could actually walk around barefoot and didn't get dirty feet. LOL I know that sounds silly, but I loved how clean it was. When we arrived and entered the cabin there were fresh flowers on the table and music was on to welcome us. We were able to catch an incredible full moon rising in the evening (thanks to Michael giving us a text heads up) and a beautiful sunrise while sipping our coffee on the dock over the water. We will definitely visit again!!

It was a perfect stay for a couple wanting peace and quiet. We were celebrating our anniversary so being away by ourselves was great.

We did not get on the lake in the canoe but plan on going back, so thats on the to do list! We were able to grill out one night. The cabin was very clean, and stocked with nice cookware. We had no issues, but I am sure if we did, I could just text Michael and he would make it right. We were informed before our visit that the hot tub broke and he was not able to get the repair guy in before we arrived. He made it right for us and we appreciated that. I think next time we will bring another couple and get the fire pit going! We will be back! Thanks for everything Michael!

Great Birthday Get Away
This quaint little cabin is a great getaway from city life. It would make a lovely writer's retreat. Summers in Florida are extremely hot, so we did not get to utilize the outdoor amenities, but the cabin is well equipped. The property is less than an hour from Gainesville and about 20 minutes from Lake City. As the property owner warns, there are alligators in the lake. We never saw any, but could hear them purring in the water during the early morning hours.

The cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable, everything was in working order. The screened porch with hot tub was exceptional! Well thought out spaces for outdoor enjoyment. Lots of rain showers during our visit but was still able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the dock, sipping coffee while watching wildlife move about (alligators, egrets, turtles). Evenings were spent in the canoe, drifting about the peaceful picturesque lake. We would definitely rent this cabin again....Sweet find!!

Our stay at the Do Duck Inn was outstanding. Step back in time to a small town in the "Old Florida" When life was slower and more simple. If I could I would give way more then 5 stars. Everything was in perfect order and the cabin was spotless. Everything has been thought of. All you need is your clothes and some snacks and your set for a great stay. Check in was simple. Michael meet with us upon arrival, showed us a few things about the cabin and left. He was always just a phone call or text away. But we had complete privacy. We enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave or return to the real world. The cabin and grounds were emaculant and he had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Right down to fresh flowers in the kitchen and bedroom. Such a sweet surprise. We went to get away for our anniversary and get some much needed down time. This was the perfect place. Very secluded and quiet on a small lake. We spent alot of time sitting on the porch and dock just taking the beauty of the place in. I had plans to kayak and my husband had planned on fishing. But instead we just relaxed. Much needed!!!!!!
We are already discussing dates for a few months from now to return.

If there is anything you need, just keep looking around the cabin…. you will find it. We truly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning for another weekend in the future.

We spent 4 days for our 33rd wedding anniversary at the property and it was absolutely fabulous!!! Michael was so accomodating. He even made a special trip to town to get us bait to fish with. We had such an amazing time we will definately be coming back. This was one of our favorite vacations in all our years. Thanks for everything!!!

Rustic and cozy with contemporary amenities
This lovely log cabin has it all. Calming views of a beautiful lake. Fantastic moonrises over the trees and water. Sunny and shady spots to sit and enjoy the soft, cool breezes and to be mesmerized by the flight of osprey and bald eagles that reside nearby. The cabin interior is as lovely as the outdoors with a fully equipped modern kitchen, WIFI, USB ports, cable and a large flat screen TV for evening entertainment, We ate many meals on the screened front porch overlooking the lake. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The log cabin walls were smooth with a soft wood glow that made sitting on the deep cushioned couch a pleasure to read away the day with a good book with an occasional gaze at the lake through the large front window. We grilled, canoed, fished, bird watched, all provided by this wonderful property. Michael was an amazing host and nearby in case we needed anything. Thank you, Michael, for the wonderful memories at the Do Duck Inn!

The cabin and view were great. 15 minutes from lake city but very private. Check in was simple and fast the weather was not very good so we spent most of our time inside the cabin was well stocked it was nice to see quality cookware and a nice bbq grill instead of the usual cheap stuff. We are already planning our next stay
