We stayed at Zogaj Hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience\. Our room was on the first floor and was very clean, comfortable and well looked after\. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful\. The owners’ two sons were both lovely, especially the younger one, Ameraldo (sorry if we have spelt his name incorrectly\!)\. He was so nice, funny and friendly — we really liked him\! 😊 His parents were also very welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived\. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of fresh food and plenty of choices\. We absolutely loved the homemade cakes, especially the delicious banana bread made by their mum\. 👌😋 I also tried their Aloe Vera drink and absolutely loved it\! It had such a lovely taste, and we couldn’t find the same drink in the supermarkets, so it was a nice little treat to enjoy at the hotel\. Another great bonus for us was the free private car park, which was one of the things we were looking for when choosing our accommodation\. The only small downside for us was that the pillows were quite high and puffy, which wasn’t to our preference\. However, when we asked if it was possible to change them, they kindly brought us thinner pillows straight away, which we found much more comfortable\. 😊 Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if we visit Albania again\. This hotel is truly amazing – one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! We stayed for 7 days, so we had plenty of time to experience everything the hotel has to offer. First of all, the photos on Booking.com are exactly like the reality – actually, I would say the hotel is even better in person! We stayed in the yellow room, which was beautiful and very comfortable. We had a small kitchen and a lovely balcony. The entire hotel is extremely clean, and the rooms are cleaned daily. The balcony door and the bathroom window also have insect screens, which was very useful. The breakfast is excellent and has everything you need. What really makes this hotel special, however, is the wonderful family who runs it. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with information or anything else you might need. They manage the hotel themselves, which is really impressive. The mother is an especially lovely person and prepares the food herself. Much of the breakfast is homemade and absolutely delicious. If you don’t have a car, the family can also drive you wherever you need to go for a much lower price than a taxi. The whole family was so kind and welcoming that I was genuinely sad to leave. The pool was great and very well maintained. We even saw how carefully it was cleaned. The hotel also has a bar and an elevator. The air conditioning was new, worked perfectly, and was very quiet, which made our stay even more comfortable. I especially loved all the little decorative details throughout the hotel, which make the whole place feel very warm and homey.
