The Lily Pad was a great place for my 10 friends/family + my 2 dogs to spend a week! The cabin itself is HUGE and even nicer than the photos. It was great to have two living spaces (one with TV and one without) so people could chose their own adventure and we didn't feel on top of each other. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware, drinkware and was a great space to cook in. Best of all was the pond! We weren't sure what to expect, but the bottom was mostly sandy and free of weeds where we could touch. There is a pretty sharp drop off - but it was great for those of us that wanted to swim and for kids with lifejackets! The only two "challenges" - 1. We didn't have access to a washer and dryer. The property doesn't list one, so I just wasn't paying attention, but usually when I stay somewhere for a week there is one to wash kids swimsuits, etc. 2. The Wifi was not strong enough to support VPN/work from home, so plan accordingly. We were lucky enough to be able to just take extra time off! Overall, would definitely stay again.

We were extremely happy with both the rental and the owners. Pond was wonderful, house was big and well stocked. Big plus was the games in the out building. Great place to play games late in the day. Everyone had a great time and voted this one of the best places we have rented.

The property was perfect for gathering as a family! Plenty of room for everyone to be together as well as room to spread out if needed. The amenities were abundant from a well stocked kitchen, lots of activities to do onsite and a wonderful pond stocked with fish and beautiful Lilly pads! Great little pond to kayak on too. Very peaceful and relaxing! We highly recommend this property!

Our stay at the Lily Pond was fantastic. We had 7 adults and 3 kids in the family. Lots of room for everyone. And lots to do on the property with the pond, kayaks, games/toys and walking path. Only 45 minutes from the Dells. Great local parks for kids and hiking. Close to local eating, which were really good. We will be back.

We had a wonderful time at The Lily Pad. The house and property were clean and well maintained, the swimming pond was awesome and just about everything you need is provided. Highly recommend!

Ages nearly 6 to 75, 4 males, 5 females. We ALL enjoyed the pond and its beauty. At one point 2 paddle boards, a canoe and your 2 kayaks were on the water together (2 pups included). I'm nearly 73 and also kayaked, took pics of the lilies and of the reflection from the east side on the water. The house was superb! Just perfect for us to rebond as a family and have space to relax & chill.

The Lily Pad was a great home! The two living areas made it easy to spread out. The kids loved the pond. We fed the fish, caught fish and played in the sand. There were so many things to do in the Dells that we could have stayed weeks! Janice was a great host! Wonderful vacation!

We had a fantastic time staying at this lovely house in a beautiful setting! The house is nestled in a pine forest overlooking a beautiful pond. We were swimming and exploring the pond every day. The kids were so engaged with the water and nature that we spent most of our vacation on the property!
The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook all of our meals easily and the house was very clean. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this rental!

Family Get-Together
This is the perfect location to just relax and be together. The scenery is beautiful and everyone enjoyed using the pond; even the dogs! The house has plenty of seating for everyone and every thing you need to cook with. The kids and grandkids enjoyed going to The Dells and tubing down a river which arent too far away.

A Great Getaway
The Lily Pad was a perfect place for us to reunite with family from out of state. It had plenty of space, and was well stocked with whatever we needed. It was close to a variety of recreational opportunities, and we loved the pond and the spacious deck. The owners were easy to reach and were very responsive and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The privacy and tranquility of this property is unmatched. We would definitely stay here again! My only advice would be to provide a washer and dryer and some additional cleaning supplies, sheets, and towels for guests that are staying more than just a weekend. Also, the telephone + answering machine was a little weird - I would maybe unplug it next time.

Great family vacation!
We were a family group of 6 adults and 4 kids (all under age 7) that spent a great end of summer week at the cabin. It was wonderfully clean with a very well equipped kitchen. All of us enjoyed the pond (w/ kayaks and inflatable floats), sandy beach, and porch. The kids especially enjoyed the air hockey table in the garage, bunk beds in one room, and tons of books/toys in the closet. The only area we felt that could be improved would be the comfort of the mattresses. They all seemed to be pretty worn and saggy and ready for replacement (although they all appeared to be clean). Would highly recommend!

We drank coffee by the water every morning on the large deck, we fished every day and caught blue gills and a monster catfish, and we enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the pond! The fishing pier was appreciated and we loved the walking trails and firepit too. The layout of the home allows all guests access to a bathroom by their bedroom and the kitchen was well stocked. The owners are very responsive as well. I would recommend this to anyone!!

Property Feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere but so many things to do in the surrounding area. Buckhorn state park offers areas to hike. There is access to ATV trails. And after a busy day you can go back to the home and just relax and cool off in the pond. If you’d like lake activities, Such as skiing or tubing the lake access is very close. Beautiful home with all the comforts. Absolutely loved it.

And after a busy day you can go back to the home and just relax and cool off in the pond. If you’d like lake activities, Such as skiing or tubing the lake access is very close. We had an amazing time! The children kayaked, fished, and swam. We had fires in the enormous fire pit, we used the amazing grill, and played games at the kitchen table!

Beautiful large home on a lovely pond. Very comfortable with everything you need. A ping pong table and air hockey in the garage.
Pontoon rentals at Big Papas Pontoons to take on Castle Rock Lake. Lots of restaurants and bars. Plus, lots of hiking trails. For people who enjoy climbing, there are several large rock formations in the area, such as Rabbit Rock and Shipwreck Rock. Also, just very interesting to sight see them!

Would recommend!
My husband and I reserved this property for our children and grandchildren. What a great spot we picked! There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for all of us to have our own space. The kids loved the kids bedroom and the "toy closet"!! The kitchen was spacious and had every pan/dish we could ask for, plus plenty of seating for us all. It was nice to have 2 separate living rooms (at opposite ends of house) so the adults could have a little quiet time away from the kids! :)
The pond was great and our grandkids ALL caught fish!!! We also enjoyed the firepit and basketball hoop. A great home especially for families. I know that we made a ton of memories there! Thank you!!!

Wonderful getaway for family with small kids
Our family has 3 kiddos under the age of 5. This was a perfect place. The pond had sandy bottom, beach for sand play, pier for fishing off of, and tons of frogs! The house was clean, well kept, comfortable beds, and had some toys and lots of books. The garage had sand toys and floats for the water which was also great.

LOVED this place!!
Our family of nine loved the place. Setup of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect. Kitchen is fully equipped with every gadget and plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Spent alot of time on the deck, which needs some sprucing up, but have been told it will be replaced soon. Lots of seating and perfect view of pond. We couldn't have had a better experience and are looking forward to booking again! The owner is exceptionally responsive too.
