Great spot in a unique island in Vanuatu. The staff was very friendly, helped us organise all tours including volcano, kastom tribe, waterfall and blue cave.
They still haven’t recovered fully from the last natural disaster, so there are some bungalows out of use because of the damage. The rest of the hotel is fully functional and very nice. You have to consider that you are staying in a remote island, where the main attraction is adventure. I wouldn’t expect luxury, or the standards of other bigger destinations.

The location is fantastic! There is a beautiful garden area from the rooms down to the beach, and the cottages are not fancy, but pretty nice and sometimes with hot water. You can book any tour here, also spontaneously.
The White Grass Ocean Resort is just within 5 min walking distance, which is important for divers, cause it has the only dive school on the island.
What I really appreciate from the people is, that when Air Vanuatu cancelled my flights, and I arrived there two days later, I didn't have to pay for the lost nights! That's a great gift, cause Air Vanuatu can make travels in Vanuatu being a mess...
I took incredible pictures from the Milky Way, just in front of the pool area, cause Tanna in general is pretty dark!
And I want to name Mari here as a very helpful person from the reception, who was always trying her best to help out with any kind of problems! Thank you Mari!!!
There is pretty much no service.
The ladies in the restaurant are more busy checking their phones, so whenever I wanted to order something, I had to walk up to them and they looked pretty bored. The free breakfast is not really for free, cause you have to pay extra for eggs (between 5-10 Dollars, depending on how you want your egg). I don't think that's fair.
I asked for the free room service twice, but ended up bringing the rubbish to the reception myself after three days.
The room was not clean, there was trash of medicine papers, and other dusty stuff left in the room when I moved in.
I send some messages with questions to them weeks before my arrival, one has been answered 4 days later, the other ones haven't been answered at all. But if you call them from Vanuatu (once you have a SIM card) they'll answer the phone.
They say food is available until 9 pm, one day they closed at 8 pm, because "there were no people there" and I had to go to bed hungry at 8:45 pm. Don't get me wrong, I don't want many people just to wait for me as a single person - but they could just let me know before closing the kitchen, when they have only a few guests anyway!
WIFI is bad, but Debicel SIM card works great!
But: YOU WILL STAY HERE ANYWAY, and here's why: there are only three real resorts on the wonderful Island of Tanna (besides the Backpacker Tree houses at the volcano) and the other two ones (White Grass and The Rocks) are WAY more expensive, and the place is still very nice (and also not the reason why you come to Tanna)! I would always come back...

Many activities to do while staying there that can be organised through the accommodation. Beautiful island. Great resources with a pool and restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner.
Our door to our room wouldn’t locked properly, when arriving at the airport the transport we organised had left without us, and there’s no sand beach so when you go out to snorkel it is just rocks and coral.

Great place and value for money.
Beware of the tours as they are done by 3rd party companies.
Fishing trip was terrible for example, no hooks, no rods, no life jackets, no safety, no fish, improper fishing gear which weren't it was a complete waste of money and time.
Also they push you to use their tours who dont work on saturday due to religion reasons, so make sure to google other tour operators and call them to book on a saturday.
Cheers
