Very poor response time of the room service. Called to reception regarding a technical issue in the room multiple times at night but they didn’t even respond back

The hotel is stunning Andalusian style and very grand. It’s out of the way from the main attractions and expensive to get into the main areas. The staff from concierge to front of house staff and breakfast staff are exceptional as people and professional. I have had a great service from Kashif to Adi, Joe and Zain at concierge. Then Cherry, Kawthar and Falak in reception really have their commitment to the customers on point with the leadership of Mr Islam and Mr Kamal. Mimi/Maryam, Saesar, Nancy and Dani are genuinely lovely people who go beyond the call of duty to give a good service (against the standard service of the hotel). This is where the best parts of the hotel end.

The standard experience particularly for business travellers is underwhelming and poor quality. The business centre had disused furniture stored there and no signage and then on another time was set up for a private party. The executive room is bigger but there isn’t an upgrade in experience. The other hotels have much better prices, location and perks. The management of the hotel offer nothing much to the business travellers. The management could learn a lot from their frontline staff and also other 5 star hotels serving business travellers which give much greater value, convenience and perks to the residents. It’s expensive, unreliable and the management do not stick to their commitments. Asking for semi comparable packages to other 5 star hotels has been a struggle and it is very likely we limit any future usage of the hotel to the absolute minimum. My colleagues were offered rooms. They flew in from us and then they were not honouring the booking for the weekend and had to leave early. There was no show from management on their failure. I booked through booking.com and got a good deal as I am a high tier traveller and the hotel wanted me to book directly with them but offered much less. They failed to show me why I should go with them in terms of comparable service. With improvements it could be much better in retaining travellers in the future.
