The apartment was lovely and immaculate - it had everything we required from pots and pans to complimentary wine & cookies, which were much appreciated - the location was fantastic, it very central and situated in a private courtyard. & was also very close to the nearest car park. Though we didn't get to meet John, he was extremely helpful and ensured our visit to the apartment was hassle free.

The Stables 2 is really well appointed and beautifully clean. It is in a quiet yet central place, close to the pubs and market place, and the Settle and Carlisle railway. The bed is comfy and the place homely with a lovely warm wood burner, making the place as warm as toast and so so cosy.

Only a small detail, because of the orientation of the bed, there was no room for a bedside table on one side of the bed. There is no onsite parking but the main carpark is very close by.

Be good to have a shelf in the bathroom and in the shower and slightly larger towels. A long mirror would be good too.

Settle is a beautiful little town and a brilliant base to start from. Lovely little pubs and good restaurants.

I didn't like the iron, it was covered in black plastic, when I went to iron my white shirt it got ruined. No compensation from the owners. Cotton bud on the bathroom floor from previous guests. More shelves needed in bathroom.

My husband and I had a fantastic 2 day break in this wonderful wee place. . It had everything you needed and more. . On arrival there was also a complimentary bottle of wine and some delicious cookies waiting for us . . What a lovely personal touch . . We unpacked and settled down with a cup of tea and a cookie then sat outside and enjoyed our bottle of wine before setting off to explore. We will definitely be back .

The location was in the middle of Settle in a gated side lane off the road. The shops were literally 2 mins walk away and a great pub opposite which offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hosts live in the property adjacent and had left us tea, coffee, etc, plus milk, biscuits and bottle of wine - what a lovely surprise after our long journey!

There isn't much we can say that is negative - the only idea for convenience would maybe be a couple of side tables to put a drink and also, a set of instructions as to which bin to put rubbish outside as we found people were putting rubbish into the wrong bins

Apartment we felt was a little grubby towels smelt as if they had not been washed properly luckily I had my own

The owner John greeted us warmly and helped us with our luggage. Inside little touches like the lights under the surfaces being left on gave the Stables a lovely homely feel. Other extras like the wine and fresh cookies left made us feel very welcome. The fridge contained essentials like milk with plenty of tea and coffee in the kitchen . This meant we could have a lovely cup of tea and relax before setting out to discover the village. The Stables and the village is friendly and peaceful a must to visit. We can thouroughly recomend. Dont miss the historic rail station on your vist, its only a short walk from The Stables!

How information given to us ahead of our stay and throughout the visit if we had any questions. Everything we needed was available. Location was superb, really handy for walking and visiting local restaurants, shops and the station. Apartment really quiet even when people arrived during our stay who were staying in the one above is.

Great location , property had everything we needed. Nice to have the outdoor seating. Would recommend and would stay again.

It was great but one bath sized towel would be helpful and more comfortable - small basic rug in main room would give a homely feel. But it was lovely place, well run, excellent location and we would definitely stay again

Fantastic accommodation in centre of town.

We really enjoyed our stay in Settle. It was a good base with many walks along the river and over the dales. The Railway was excellent. And the town had every facility to make self catering easy.

only bad points were some of the bulbs didn’t work properly. and would have liked a towel refresh after a few days.

The property was central and good proximity of local amenities. The property was clean, cosy and felt very homely. The owner of the property John was incredibly helpful and accommodating.
