Petit hôtel littéralement à deux pas de la mer et de l'université, proche tous commerces. Entrée autonome pratique quand on arrive tard le soir (code sur la porte principale + clé sur la porte de notre chambre). Lit très confortable. Décoration de la chambre soignée. Bouilloire et sélection de thé et café. Mini frigo dans la chambre, bonne idée ! Hôtel très calme début août. Échanges rapides par messages sur Booking avec les propriétaires.
La chambre et la salle de bain sont petites, on se marche dessus quand on est grand·es. La salle de bain est un peu alambiquée : pour avoir de l'eau chaude, il faut tirer sur une cordelette située à l'entrée de la salle de bain, donc se tenir en équilibre, tout nu, dans la douche, et tendre le bras pour activer la cordelette… Rebelotte pour éteindre l'eau. Très étrange, et potentiellement dangereux (il faut veiller à ne pas glisser). Le lavabo est tout petit et très bas. Aération pas top (pas de fenêtre dans la salle de bain, et vieille fenêtre qui donne sur la rue dans la chambre : pas évident d'aérer après la douche le soir). Par ailleurs, cela nous a fait bizarre de ne croiser absolument aucun membre du personnel, ni à notre arrivée, ni à notre départ ; le côté humain nous a un peu manqué.

Brilliant location, directly by the pier/seaside. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very good value for money. Very clear instructions for checking in arrived on the day and staff were very quick to answer questions.
The room was very warm and we couldn't open the window enough - although we completely understand why this was the case it did make for quite a warm night.

A lovely room, nice decor touches. The self check-in went smoothly, but there was no one there so I can't say what would have happened if there had been a problem.
Bright light - there was a large emergency light unit that would come on if the smoke alarm was triggered. Its little green indicator light was really bright so the room didn't go dark. I managed to cover the light with clothes (!) but it had infused the fire safety sign on the door, which was day-glo, and almost as bright as the indicator light! Take an eye mask (unfortunately I didn't have one and don't like them or ear plugs anyway)!
Also, I knew there was a possibility there might be street noise so was prepared to keep the window closed; however the room at the back of the property had an air-con or similar unit outside that rumbled even through the closed window.

The Pier Hotel is right opposite the pier. It's a really handy location for the sea front and also the town and amenities.
The decor and artwork around the room are quirky. I think one of the owners is creative with carpentry.
WiFi wasn't working in the bedroom. However, the day we left they were getting an engineer in to fix it.
The WiFi in the lobby worked fine.

Great location next to the pier and lots of shops, but our room was not facing the road so it was quiet and very comfortable. A great value for money hotel, and they are pet friendly!
No on-site parking available and no staff when checking in, but it wasn't a big deal.

Location was great by the prom. The room was very clean and comfortable.
The tea and coffee provision wasn't great. Also the shower was quite poor too. However, the main issue was that there was no wifi in my room.

Another great stay at the pier hotel. Great location, always clean and friendly staff. Very easy checking in system in place too.

Location was very central and within walking distance of everything. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. loved that there was a fridge in the room and found it very useful.

we went out so this location was ideal as was right next to the club and the kebab was opposite. the room was clean and tidy and good value for money
didn’t see any members of staff so wouldn’t know where to go if there was a problem
