Easy to fine, clean and a lot of space.

The hostel provides all of the basic necessities. What I admired the most is its location - within a 200 meter radius, you have convenience stores, cafes, restaurants and bars. For those using the intercity buses, the terminal is less than a kilometer away thus there was no need for a subsequent taxi ride. James, the host, is also very responsive to any queries one should have.

Basic but perfect for a couple of nights, great value, perfect location close to market and bus for the national park. The owner James is very sweet and gives local tips in English

The plastic pillow covers, too noisy

For the price, I think this is a great option. The first thing I noticed was the very kind and welcoming service. I was greeted warmly and was even allowed to check in an hour early, which was much appreciated. The first floor has darts and a few games, as well as a simple breakfast option with coffee. The room was clean, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. The mattress was quite firm, which is common in Korea, but I personally prefer this style and slept very well. The towels are also Korean-style, meaning they’re quite small, but they get the job done. The Wi-Fi was very fast and easy to connect to. One thing to note is that light sleepers may want to bring earplugs, as it can sometimes be a little noisy with guests coming and going. The location is convenient and not too far from the intercity bus terminal. The staff were very helpful when I needed advice about getting around, and they even offered to lend me a phone charger. Overall, the combination of friendly service, reasonable price, and convenient location makes this a great place to stay. I would definitely return if I come back to Sokcho.
