Heart of the village, amazing gardens, glorious views and brimming with character
Thornwell Cottage è un bellissimo cottage di 200 anni con ampi giardini e una fantastica vista dal giardino e dalla camera da letto. Questa proprietà elencata di grado II è completa con pavimenti lastricati e travi a vista che riempiono ogni stanza con carattere e fascino.
Situato in una zona tranquilla del villaggio, il Thornwell Cottage si trova a breve distanza a piedi dal molo e dai pub del villaggio, più il parcheggio è a meno di 50 metri dalla porta principale.
C'è un ampio giardino privato con vista sul fiume Dart e patio - perfetto per cenare all'aperto in estate.
La cucina su misura è ben attrezzata con una sala da pranzo per quattro. Al piano superiore sono le 2 camere da letto, la prima è una camera da letto matrimoniale con 5 'letto in ottone e finestre a doppio aspetto con vista verso il fiume e la seconda camera ha 5' zip e link letto che può essere convertito su richiesta per due 2'6 "singoli .
Il bagno di famiglia si trova al piano terra con doccia multigetto su vasca, servizi igienici, lavabo e riscaldamento a pavimento.

A lovely little cottage with stunning views over the River Dart. The garden is extensive and offers a lovely space when weather allows. No parking can be an issue although there is a public car park very close by. This is small and got full up...so provided an unwanted challenge at times. My daughter cut her foot on a piece of glass in the lounge so perhaps the cleaning operation needs reviewing. All in all the cottage presented good value for money. Ideal for 2/ 3 people on my opinion. Would be cosy with four adults.

We have been coming to Dittisham for many years and to Thornwell Cottage for several years now. We love the charm of this cottage and its wonderful garden, which offers different views in every season. The cottage is perfect for 2 people and charmingly furnished. Nothing is really missing.
However, we have noticed a constant wear and tear over the years and a few investments in the furnishings would do the cottage a lot of good. But we will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it.

Fantastic location, parking near the cottage (pay to park, not an issue). 2 pubs either end if the village also one is a shop and post office which also does take away meals, excellent breakfast.
Fantastic well kept garden absoloutly huge. Water taxis to Dartmouth regular (best to book at busy times). Cottage was lovely, but in need of a bit of a spruce up, and a good clean.

Details say cottage sleeps five, really can’t see how. The double bed is very small plus two singles. The cottage was clean however there were very few cleaning materials in the cottage for general use. Plastic mattress covers are not acceptable and fitted sheets should fit and stay on the mattress. Seating in living room so old and soft it gives no support. The cottage is in a beautiful location but needs updating and more attention to details to improve experience. Love Dittisham, but would not use Thornwell Cottage again.
