We stayed with the family for 4 nights at Sea view Loft and it exceeded our expectations! Swahili styled spacious loft is gorgeous. Beds are wide and comfortable, all have mosquito nets. The loft does not have air conditioning but we didn't suffer during nights with +25. We experienced a calm and relaxing rainy season, the restaurant wasn’t crowded, and the pool and sunbeds were available all day. Breakfast was delicious! Our family spent many hours just chilling on the sofa in the loft! About mosquitos - in the end of April it wasn’t a huge problem. Some days we didn’t notice them at all, and other days there were some. We used repellents. The Indian ocean turquoise water won our hearts! We will never forget that lovely view. One day we took a taxi to visit Mtembe beach. The taxi was organized by Mr.Kahawa receptionist. Do not forget to ask your taxi driver to make a stop near the 300 hundred old Baobab tree! Staff was so kind and friendly that they allowed us to check out late at 12:00am on 1 of May. On that date they closed the hotel for a month and did not have new visitors. We were lucky to get this opportunity to have some rest before going to the airport. For our kids this nap was essential. We appreciate that!!! Highly recommend to take a Sea view loft or garden view loft. They are amazing!!! Special thanks for the cleaning lady, who made our loft floor nice and clean every day!

Loft room had no windows, so very open to wind, rain, and noise from cafe downstairs. Dodgy front door, sticky lock, leaking toilet cistern Overhead shower didn't work, handheld shower had low water pressure Front office not open til 8am; disorganised payment procedures Construction noise and dust while renovating bar area

We stayed at the loft above the kite shop with our own seaview terrace. The room/ loft was spacious and clean. Be aware: the toilet has no door. Ancilliary to the hotel is the accompanying restaurant / cafe Mr. Kahawa which is simply great. Great staff, picture perfect location on a beautiful beach with turquoise water. Catch a spot beneath the almond tree and let the day pass by. It’s an amazing location. Behind the hotel you can find small shops, supermarkets (westernized) and on the main road you can catch the feeling of how the locals live. There are ATMs at the main road as well.

It's a small boutique hotel, our room had a huge balcony with ocean view. In general the location is quite authentic, very well maintained and clean. Health & safety aspect was a bit worrying at the start as we have 2 small kids and room had access through spiral staircase only (with no gates for safety), however after 1 day we got used to it. Beach was nice, pool is a bit outdated and not very clean. Restaurant in general was ok, food selection could have been better. Staff is trying to be as polite as possible. In general place has a great vibe and good crowd, so we enjoyed our 3 days :)

This place is not very safe for small kids in terms of structure of the hotel. Breakfast was very poor selection (same thing every day). Lots of mosquitos. Bathroom is not very comfortable with water getting stuck in the pipes. Hotel staff not being clear on transportation costs (first they tell you 50 USD and then before you leave it's already 70 USD), better get taxi outside of hotel. Not many activities in the area if you have small kids.

The location is perfect if you are coming for water sports or you want to be in the middle of Paje

- Breakfast is extremely poor. Only 4 food options provided. You are only allowed one hot dish + one coffee + one juice. anything extra needs to be paid. Pretty unfair when paying such a high rates! Just a simple question, what is the cost of an omelette? I don’t think would affect your financial statements at the end of the month. - You can only have breakfast in one area (At the bar area). One morning the area was full and only tables at the sun were available. we asked if we could sit on the opposite side as was completely, however the staff declined. we had to sat down and eat under the heavy sun, while few meters away was empty. - Every morning you would be attacked by a million wasps. please check for nests! we understand we are in the middle of the nature, however you have kids running around and that can be dangerous! - After the first meal i got heavy FOOD POISONING after eating chicken. Looks like during low season the products are not fresh at all. We spend few hours at the hospital and following days with antibiotics. After reporting it, no action was taken, not even a single follow up. This was the last time eat in the hotel. - Upon check-in, we realized the shower was broken. we reported it, however no action was taken until the third day, when we mentioned it again. - My husband asked for a pen to one of the staff members at the bar, however nobody had one, even do there is a office few meters away. - the place is fully staffed and even during low season, when we would be the only ones at the terrace, 5 people would stare at us to stand up and order as the place is self service until 6pm. Nobody would proactively approached, even knowing we are staying at the hotel for a week! - Room cleanliness, extremely poor. - The mattress is extremely stained. Bed sheets and towels with a very bad smell and all stained. Dear owners and management, your business is set to fail.
