Onyado Nono Nara Natural Hot Spring

Good location for local sightseeing. Facilities including hot springs were really good, outdoor spa giving the impression of being in a rural location was very well done.

Very strict about footwear and expected to leave shoes in a locker at reception. I respect not wearing outdoor shoes but found it odd that we weren’t trusted to take our shoes to the room. No slippers provided - just socks. Also, we had bicycles and they expected us to leave them in an open area that faced the street. It took a while but eventually they allowed us to leave them with luggage at reception.

Atmosphere & Comfort: A fantastic combination of modern convenience (comfy beds, TV, fridge, en-suite bathroom) and traditional Japanese style (tatami mats). Surprisingly quiet despite being near the railway. Location: Right in the city center. The train station is literally across the street (under 1 hour to Kyoto and Osaka), and Nara Park is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Food: Delicious and varied traditional breakfast. The complimentary evening soba noodles Facilities: The gender-segregated onsen is spotlessly clean and extremely well-maintained, providing plenty of great toiletries (shampoos, combs, lotions etc.). Having microwaves and vending machines on the floors is also very convenient.

Everything was wonderful! Just keep in mind there might be a short queue for breakfast on weekends due to its popularity

The staff was very nice. The breakfast was great.

The room was super super tiny with a loud a barely functioning airconditioner flashing lights in your eyes all night. There was no view at all, the window looked straight into the nextdoor apartments. Room felt like a jail cell hahaha
