The apartment felt like it was brand new. Great location. Everything worked. So much better than staying in a hotel. The best thing was the host, Stelios, who left us groceries for our arrival, arranged a taxi and made a number of great suggestions of ways to enjoy Rhodes town. It was a great experience. Prior to arrival the host was very responsive via booking.com and via whats app communication. He arranged a taxi service for us on our evening of arrival and met us at the property about 9pm. The apartment was large and spacious with a good working kitchen with all the amenities you would need to cook a meal. The property had an elevator which was great being on the 4th floor. The Master bedroom bed was very comfortable and each room had good working AC units. The property had two balconies, one overlooking the water by a couple blocks back, and the other looking over other buildings, but it had a nice table for eating at and lounge chairs. The property had a good working washing machine which is always essential for us on our trips. It had two bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a full bathtub). The host was extremely communicative during our trip, checking in on us via whats app twice a a day. For travelers who want to have a direct connection with their host, Stelios would be the person who would help you with everything/anything you need. He tried multiple times to meet up with us- he said he wanted to tell us more about Rhodes and chat. The area is about 20 minutes to walk to the medieval town. Within about 3-4 minutes there are several good restaurants that aren't as busy and with tasty food and reasonable prices. Walking distance there are a couple of smaller, higher priced grocery stores, but you really need transportation to access more.

This is not a knock on the property, just more on the general area; We hadn't realized that Rhodes is surrounded with hotels, many of which are all inclusive types (we said it was like the Cancun of Greece). The areas was inundated with lots of tourists, making it hard to feel like it was an authentic area to experience. The balcony overlooking the water was very nice, but again it actually overlooked all the other hotels and their guests... this is just a general statement, not against the property. We had arranged for parking on the property with two ATVs we rented, but I guess there was some issue with the neighbor who also used the lot for their motorbikes and were asked to maybe used street parking. Maybe this was just a weird misunderstanding but we thought this was odd. The bedrooms had thin blanket covers, it might have been nice to have some newer comforters for sleeping but this is being particular. We stayed for six nights so it's the little things you start to notice when you stay longer. Stelios the host -was great - if you want someone who is always checking in with you, and who you want to feel is very ready to sit down and have a cup of coffee with you. He brought us a huge assortment of fruit one day and another day a huge assortment of sweets. When we had arrived he had tons of fruits and welcome food in the fridge. He sent us WhatsApp daily to see about meeting with us; I thought something was wrong and asked if there was a need to meet or something wrong; he said he just wanted to meet up and chat. For us, as private people trying to get away, this felt intrusive. I realize for many many people this would be lovely and welcome. Just something to keep in mind depending on the type of traveler you are.

We loved everything about our stay, especially our host Stelios, he went above and beyond to make our stay safe, comfortable and pleasant.

Tolle Lage zum Strand und zur Stadt, die Wohnung ist top ausgestattet, sehr groß und komfortabel. Stelios ist so unglaublich sympathisch und stand immer mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung und hat uns richtig verwöhnt. Er tut wirklich alles, dass man sich von Anfang an willkommen und wie zu Hause fühlt. Danke!
