Very comfortable mattress and tatami mats. The rooms are small and without much furniture, but in Japan everything is small.
The warm water doesn't last very long. It wouldn't be a problem if there was a warning (there are many warnings/information printed/written in multiple languages though, so it's really helpful). The fluorescent light on the ceiling took forever to turn off, thankfully I have a thing to cover my eyes when I fall asleep (no idea how's that called in English)

The location was very convenient (walking distance from Kyoto station) and on the cheaper end for this area.
The host was nice and explained how everything worked for us.
Each room had a tea station, with hot water and cups.
This is futon style, with a mat on the floor, which may not be comfortable for everyone.
The rooms are also fairly small, so bringing a lot of luggage wouldn’t be advised.
