Laon Inn Gion Nawate

We had a great stay at this hotel! Everything was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The location was amazing! Gion was just a few minutes away on foot, and we could easily reach the area on the other side with lots of restaurants and shops. A 7-Eleven was only a 3-minute walk away, and there were several subway stations nearby. The location was so central that we often didn’t even need to take the metro or bus. We felt very comfortable during our stay, and the staff at the reception were very friendly. Check-in was easy, and we could also leave our luggage at the hotel. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

The only downside was the shower, as the water temperature kept changing between hot and cold.

The location is really good, just a few steps from the Gion Shijo station and at walking distance from the Yasaka Shrine, the Shirakawa Canal, the Yasaka Pagoda and the Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka streets. It was also great to count with washing and drying machines in the building, as we were able to prepare not only for Kyoto but for our next destinations. Really recommended.

The location and the price.

The room was extremely cold and every night we had to go to the reception (there wasn’t a phone in the room) to ask them to regulate the temperature, since there was not a way to do it ourselves. The bathroom was so small that even taking a shower was difficult.
