Hostel 199

Good location, great value for money, nice to have a small kitchen and very close to the metro.

Cleaning was really good, lovely with own bathroom, much value for money, good public transportation. Kind and good communication with staff in writing (staff not physically present, but available on phone).

Noise from the kitchen right next door to our room, but ok, not too much.

Warm welcoming from the host, David. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Close to the tramway and shops. I recommend this property!

The host David was very attentive. The bus and tram stops were about 3min walk. Nearby market was about 10min walk

I booked a private room, which was actually 2 squeaky bunk beds (2 person dorm). The one towel provided for shower and sink was very very small. David gave me a second, but I used my own hand towel, which was much bigger. My room (only 6 rooms total) was on ground floor, with an ugly view of over filled trash bins. The curtains were too narrow for the window and hard to close (very high on wall). I was forced to keep curtains closed as people could see me directly thru bars on window. The walls were completely bare, so with the curtains closed, it felt like a prison. Also, the shower area was extremely slippery, and I almost fell. I booked Hotel 199 to have a social hostel experience, but instead I felt that this accommodation was just a low end guest house, with a tiny "kitchen"
