Friendly and welcoming staff who did what they could to make my stay excellent, including organising a late check out which was much appreciated.

This is not a reflection of the apartment - I had neighbours on either side of me for 3 nights who seemed to know each other and had late night get togethers (totally fine and normal!) but they would go from one room to another and let the heavy doors slam which kept me up for 2 nights. This wasnt ideal as I was there for work. I did leave them a note on the second night and they seemed to take more care to close doors. Perhaps the apartment management could add a note to close doors quietly on the upper room as the noise carries very easily.

It was a lovely apartment, in a good location, and was warm and comfortable. It was easy to get the key. There was a big TV.

I didn't like the communication before arrival - they were unclear, ignored some e-mails and although they remained within their rights and our agreement, they were really not at all accommmodating when I misunderstood a message they had sent me. I didn't see anybody else (staff or guest) there the entire time, which felt very weird. They asked me to watch netflix only through the firestick, not through the TV but then there was no firestick. The dishwasher tablets were all gunked up in the bottom of a pot with laundry tabs - bad way to store them. No coffee making equipment there, only instant.

large size double bed with walk in bathroom. Kitchen and lounge on one level bedroom upstairs.

one smoke alarm disconnected with no cover in kitchen. Large TV but not smart. Stairs are steep to bedroom. No shower as thermostat broken.

good location for the university and the city

Not 100% clean ( some cobwebs) and bedding was not great - thin duvet , stained quilt ( we had to strip the bed ourselves so all was revealed) and not the best mattress ( could feel the springs )

Some elements of the apartment are nicely designed, such as the bathroom and living / dining room. Comfortable bed, good shower, good TV.

Some parts of the apartment - particularly the paintwork and the carpet in the stairwell - are really dirty and need re-doing. The bedroom and stair well are dark and the stairs so steep to get up with luggage. The oven wasn't working.

It was nicely decorated. Comfortable. Amenities were decent

The dangling lights around the kitchen island that are at head right. Ouch. The shadow work involved using covid as a reason. Let's be honest covid is an airborne virus so why is stripping the bed and doing washing up a covid thing? Also if you want the washing up doing right leave a sponge because the dishwasher left some of those glasses still dirty when we got there and the plastic basin in the sink is disgusting underneath 🤢
