Stairs to room no elevator. A little bit tired in places. Generally pretty good

We had a meal in our room...was perfect. The person on reception moved us into a better room on ground floor as I am recovering from a broken arm and cannot manage the stairs. He was polite and very helpful. We had a beautiful room .... Thank you very much.

Food was delicious - we had curry which was fresh and lovely flavours- especially the veg pakoras . There is a veg/vegan menu. Staff were friendly. The location/views are good. Dining area is bright and decent food choices. Dogs are allowed.

Unfortunately it is in need of a lot of tlc- and probably a lot of money spending on it. The mattress needed replacing in our room- soft cheap mattress which was well past its best. Shame to spoil the view of the loch by putting the TV in the window .. but the room was so small there wouldn’t be much option to put it elsewhere . Small thin towels provided add to the general feeling of a place struggling to keep up. The card machine wasn’t working in reception so we were given directions to the nearest ATM to get cash for the dog supplement. It’s all a bit shambolic but staff seemed to be doing the best they could under the circumstances. Having the large bins at the front entrance to the car park and black bags of rubbish piled up at the back isn’t the best welcome
