Cubicle was much smaller than expected with no hooks to hang up clothes, or storage for suitcases
Kitchen area good for 1 pot meals

Location and view
I had the incident while staying at Dis Cottages because water broke down from boilers but the property doing nothing about the refund

The view is amazing, the cottage is right next to the sea, overlooking kirkjufell. What I must acknowledge is that our van got stuck in snow drift, because the wind the night before was crazy, CRAZY, and the owner helped us get our van unstuck. It wasn’t easy and he didn’t even know if it was going to work, but thankfully it did. That’s why I’m giving them the best rating.
I know you cannot control the weather conditions, so I’m just letting people know that the cottages are kind of at a vulnerable location to the elements, the night we were there it was very windy in the peninsula and it complicated things a bit. Nonetheless, the owners are there to help you in any way they can.

Wunderbare Aussicht, durch die großen Panoramafenster konnten wir auch von drinnen nach Nordlichtern Ausschau halten. Noch besser war die Sicht natürlich von der Terrasse.
Die Küche könnte etwas besser und hübscher ausgestattet sein. Auch Bettwäsche und Handtücher könnten mal ausgetauscht werden. Seit unserem letzten Aufenthalt wurde das Bad renoviert. Der Boden ist leider jedoch immer noch der gleiche.

The view is absolutely gorgeous. The place is new.
Small. The shower isn't great. The bed is ok. No breakfast. I mean, it's not bad, but not good.

Incredible view; very nice choice of furnishings and kitchen items. Convenient to town.
Only thing we weren't thrilled with: Pretty hard mattress (get a mattress topper?) and flat pillows.

A lovely deck and lots of birds to watch.
The cottage was too hot and difficult to cool.
Well fitted blockout blinds would also help with light during the night.

Much more cosy in reality than what it looks like in the pictures. Nice place to see the Northern lights and beautiful nature all around. Good location to start exploring the Snaefellsnes peninsula!
It was a bit hard to find the cottage in the dark. Would have been nice with some signs showing the way from the road.

Location is amazing with an incredible view. Acomodation very comfortable and clean with all requirements fulfilled. A cozy place to stay for a night while traveling in the area or to stay a week-end to relax.
Heat had a noise during all night (due to the construction materials and very difficult to avoid); thinking in other way to heat the room may be probably solve this circumstance.

Location near the beach and in the middle of nature. Perfect spot to watch some Northern Lights! Everything was very clean and modern.
Be aware that it is very, very small. Not suitable for 2+ people for more than a short stay in my opinion.

Location is perfect. Cottages are located almost on the coast line. Design is cozy, good for short term stay.
No heating, just AC and it makes loud noises for sure, so it’s hard to sleep. Soundproofing of the cottage is also has to be improved. It was strong wind when we stayed and a lot of parts of the house were making some noise. Drain in the shower was cloaked and due to the fact that there is no barrier, water was all over the floor in the bathroom.

Gorgeous cottages with an incredible view of Kirkjufell, Grundarsfjordur and the surrounding bay. Saw one of the most stunning sunsets of my life from the balcony. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, the cottages are gorgeous, warm, comfortable, and relatively private considering they are walls of windows.
We got used to the unlimited geothermal hot water in Iceland and didn't heed the warning about running out of hot water (since they have a hot water heater, I believe they are working on getting the geothermal hook up) -- not the properties fault, there was a note in the welcome book!
