The hotel was quiet at night, for which we were grateful – though there seemed to be few guests. The location in the lovely town of Benasque surrounded by high mountains is picturesque

Unfortunately we had an extremely unpleasant encounter with a staff member who insulted my girlfriend over a minor misunderstanding related to kitchen access. Despite immediate apologies from my girlfriend for entering an apparently prohibited area to deposit a couple of plates while the hotel appeared to be unmanned (she was trying to be tidy and thoughtful!), a staff member appeared and berated her with demeaning comments extending to borderline racism including, twice, "I don't know what country you come from but..." The incident was shattering and naturally obscured any positives. We decided immediately to leave a day early – while still having to pay full price. In years travelling the globe I have never witnessed such abusive behaviour from a hotel staff member. Such an individual does not belong in the hospitality industry.

It is so great, that it was a big pleasure to stay here for one night. It is a piece of art meaning design. After a great breakfast we spent time just looking at design elements. And for this kind of a hotel the price could be 2x, 3x times more easily! I usually dont write reviews, but this is an exceptional place! And a bed was very comfortable too!

Breakfast was excellent. The bathrobes were so nice to have. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Towels were nice and big. Rooms were a good size and modern.

It would be an extra bonus if there was a jacuzzi :) I also think it would be a great idea if the hotel offered packed lunches that guests can buy for their busy days outdoors. Nearly everyone is here to hike, ski, mountain bike, kayak, and explore. It would be so nice to have this so that guests don't have to worry about going to the store. Maybe offer a lunch bag that includes a sandwich, chips, and a piece of fruit for 5-8 euro. Provide a vegetarian option as well.
