Super accogliente, volontari e proprietaria super gentili. Posizione perfetta.

We had a really nice stay at Roots Family Hostel in Puerto Viejo. We stayed in one of the two private rooms, which was a great choice considering we were a couple. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach and all the shops and restaurants in the centre. The room was comfortable and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the hostel. Overall, a great place to stay if you want to be close to everything while still having a quiet and comfortable room.

I love the Roots Family hostel! It’s cozy, relatively small and has SUCH a relaxed vibe! The owner herself is such a sweetheart and the personnel in general is really helpful and easygoing. I kept extending my stay and ended up staying there for 16 days! ❤️ Since it’s small, the guests really take care of their stuff in the kitchen, which makes it clean! I stayed in the only dorm they have. Coziest dorm I have ever stayed in. It’s kind of spacious, has lots of opportunities to hang your clothes to dry and feels like you have a lot of privacy with the curtain. The location is great, in only two minutes you’re by the beach - but this exact road is not that busy. All in all, this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I wish all the staff the best and would definitely come back!

There was a stuffy odor in the showers. I’d suggest opening the building there so more air can run through.

Ottima la posizione praticamente in centro. Personale molto disponibile. Prezzo comunque onesto

Purtroppo la stanza privata da sulla strada ed ha delle finestre praticamente aperte che fanno sentire tutti i rumori + al mattino presto entra la luce in tutta la stanza non potendo coprire in nessun modo. Non c'è l'aria condizionata Non la consiglio a chi ha problemi a dormire con i rumori per il resto tutto okay
