it’s a cosy and warm house

lots of appliances were broken, door handle coming off, plugs not working, wifi down, beds very squeaky, coffee was awful and super cheap

great location. regular communication from the owners prior to check in

space was good for a family.

arrived, heating was not on, once on heating did not work nor was there any wood for the log burner, one would assume if people are arriving after 4pm that the house needs to be warm or heating checked in the winter months. parking outside is very limited but access very restricted to the road, pity the council don’t intervene as no emergency vehicle will be able to access the houses. the toilet flusher was broken. no information on how to use any appliances. tv difficult to operate.

Nice, mostly cosy home close to the centre. Bedrooms not all that comfy though.

I thought the main bedroom was a double bed - it was just two singles pushed together.

A few items could have made the experience better. The main factor being that on arrival we were greeted with rubbish spread all over the doorstop. Unfortunately despite paying a £55 cleaning fee, this mess had not been dealt with which was disappointing as the first hour of our trip to Exeter consisted of our group cleaning up the rubbish. I have attached photos to this review. Additionally the figures/icons on the oven controls were worn down or missing which meant cooking a meal to the correct temperature was a difficult task. Furthermore the kitchen window did not lock so we can had create a makeshift weight to keep it shut in order to deter criminal entry.

The location was excellent-quiet but walking distance to city centre. Also convenient parking.

A sponge or brush for washing up would have been useful. The patio needed sweeping.

Very good location and very nicely decorated/stocked house. Hosts were very accommodating and quick to reply to any questions. Really nice shower! Very large bed in main room

No dishwasher A lot of litter on the street outside, which was pretty narrow and would be a challenge for a bigger car (not a fault of the host of course!)

Warm. Good bedding. Good WiFi. Close to city centre. Well equipped kitchen. Tricky with cooker as markings had been rubbed off. Issues which occurred were dealt with promptly.

A high price for basic accommodation. Single beds pushed together were fine for us. Thin curtains. Few carpets. Light bulbs missing. Outside drain broken. Courtyard was not usable. Confusing to have a management company and contract to work through. I expected more for the money and the commitment I had to sign up to.
