The staff so friendly and welcoming, room very clean and comfortable , tea/coffee facilities very appreciated, the food to die for . I love fish and the lobster and crab on menu was superb. Our wee dog was catered for too so he was happy . Highly recommend 👌. Well done Anchor Hotel.
The spiral staircase was a bit awkward as we both are in our 80s but staff were very helpful with travel bags . That the only minor problem.

Everything about this Hotel, from the location, the staff, the food, the accommodation,and the value for money, was just brilliant!!

Liked everything except the treatment I received in the bar.
Ordered my drink and took a 2 seater table for myself and my dog, it was in the snug bar and laid out for dinner but had no reservation sign on it. After settling down to do some work on my laptop I was told I had to vacate the table as it was booked out and that there were no more tables available for me to sit at. HOW WELCOMING IS THAT? Never again will I visit the Anchor. It had everything except good customer service.
