Such a little gem of a place. We were looking for peace and tranquility and we definitely found it here. It felt like a well loved home from home, with vintage and antique furniture, the twin room was especially lovely with vintage eiderdowns and beautiful artwork. Going to sleep to the sound of the owl and waking up to the dawn chorus and a beautiful sunrise. Lovely peaceful and private garden to enjoy an evening tipple after a day exploring the area. Pub just at the end of the road and NT Oxburgh Hall just around the corner if you want tea and cake. A peaceful cosy bolt hole to shut out the world. Thank you for a lovely holiday home.

No mobile coverage which isn't unusual for Norfolk but you can use what's app to receive/make calls. Google maps struggles to connect in some areas of the village but soon reconnects when you head out. If you park on the phone box lane be prepared for the 'busy' birds overhead but there is room right next to the back gate for the average family sized car. Much easier to reverse up the lane to park by the gate so you can go out in forward gear.

Lovely cottage

Quiet village, well placed to see many of the attractions of Northern Norfolk. The property was possibly once a family holiday home and it feels that way still which is adds to the comfort as you feel you are staying in a well-loved place (including still some 70s crockery). It is well maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay down to small details like binoculars and maps and ideas of where to go. All adding to a sense of welcome. Friendly neighbours as well.

The bathroom was a little cold and the heater outside the bathroom didn't seem to work. As the bathroom stands in an extension outside the house that's understandable, but it would be best to fix that heater before the cold really starts. The shower mixer probably needs to be changed as to get the right temperature, even after waiting for the supply to arrive from the tank, it needs the highest setting in order to be warm enough. As it stands outside the wall it would be an inexpensive fix especially if the right cartridge is still available.

I loved this property, it was so homely. I wish I lived there. It was clean and cosy. There is a fire if you needed it, however the heating was warm enough. The kitchen was well equipped and all facilities in good working order. Cooking there was a pleasure. Although I was travelling for work once I got back to property in evenings I felt like I was on holiday. If you are looking for a cosy quaint cottage, stay here, it won't disappoint. (It's like visiting grandma's house)

Parking, although not far away (within eyesight) there is no parking right by the house. However it did feel safe.
