Great location inside the Medina. Average-sized clean room and a reasonable bed. The resident breakfast cook served us breakfast on the rooftop each morning. Lovely breakfast and lovely views.

The host was a little grumpy on first arrival. But warmed up after that.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo riad per 3 notti. Posizione ottima, 2 minuti a piedi appena fuori dalla Porta Blu. Molto silenzioso, comunque vicino alla medina e ai taxi. Personale gentilissimo, disponibilissimo, ci hanno trovato una guida molto preparata, e hanno aiutato anche a risolvere un frainteso con una prenotazione. Colazione e cena abbondanti, tutto BUONISSIMO, le signore cucinano molto bene. Camera pulita,letto comodo. Ottimo rapporto qualità e prezzo. Lo consiglio, ci tornerei.

La nostra camera era a piano terra, non avendo le finestre verso l'esterno ma solo verso il cortile interno, essendo piano terra circolava meno aria, quindi un po' di umidità si sentiva, ma comunque tutto molto pulito.

The ladies working there were very nice and tried their best ro accommodate us. The room and bathroom were lovely! The location is right next to the blue door, a bit difficult to find the first time as you have to go through the hotel to get into the backstreets to get to the riad, but after the first time you're grand. The breakfast is very good too, it includes tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, toasts, butter, jam, eggs... We were offered a tour by the guy who received us, 200dr for 5 hours, which was very good.

The shower doesn't have a curtain, which makes it quire difficult to shower without spilling water all over the bathroom. On the first day as soon as we were received we needed to decide straight away if I wanted a tour or not. I was also insisted on having dinner over the days with them. We decided to have dinner the last day just go give it a go as they said it was very good price: good for them. The food was good, but no more than any other restaurant we went to and we were charged 150dr per menu, which was way more than we have paid any other day/night for menus is restaurants nearby.

The house ladies who prepare the food were wonderful. They were so sweet, made amazing food and made our stay pleasant.

The bathroom smelled so bad and our two rooms connected to it, which made our rooms smell. Also, the owner was pressuring us to use his friend to taxi us to Casablanca. We declined and said we were taking the train. We told him it was at 9:40 and we'd need to leave no later than 9:00am and we had to pay with credit card (as we had no more cash). He said ok, no problem. That morning he never showed... we waited until 9:15 before we absolutely had to leave (our miss our train). The staff couldn't take our credit and were pressuring us not to leave. The owner wouldn't talk to us on the phone to help. I promised them we'd pay online since they could not take our credit. It felt like we had to escape as things were getting tense. We had to acquire our own taxi with the staff guy chasing us. Once we reached the train station and bought our tickets we were approached aggressively by the staff guy and another rough looking guy... who basically said we need to pay him. This was quite scary. We tried talking to him and again the owner wouldn't talk to us to help. Our train was about to leave so we basically had to walk away after a 5 minute aggressive confrontation. My family were nearly in tears. Once to a safe location we paid the owner online. This was a horrible ending to a decent stay in Fes.
