I liked the value for money aspect! It's affordable and still comfy - definitely sets it apart from other hotels in the area. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. Great location right in Whitley Bay!
Unfortunately, the complimentary shampoo comes in tiny plastic packages as does the milk for the tea. Tea cups are washable yet there are plastic cups for water instead of glasses. Moreover I couldn't lock the room door from the inside. No safe to keep valuables while you're out and about.

No breakfast included but knew that. Location was good.
Went to get some milk twice on Sunday but no one availably in reception so no hot drink on Monday morning. Nets could of been cleaner and at the bottom where they were cut a child could of done it better. Need news ones ideally.the light pull cord was really dirty and just tied in a knot. New one needed with an end fitting. Bathroom door really hard to shut. Windows need to be double glazed if possible due to the noise that was awful Saturday night. Revellers outside shouting and swearing so didn't get any sleep.

Room was clean. Plenty of hot water for shower, though the head is fixed in a position great for people 6' tall. Location quite central. Parking on street is available, but be prepared for a little walk- I was at the bottom of the road.
You could hear everyone walking along the corridor outside. Only one free socket, two if you unplugged the lamp, both about as far away from the bed as possible. TV actually only has radio on it, and only about 10 channels, which didn't include any BBC national stations.

Excellent location. Parking at first was a little difficult but after contacting the hotel they were extremely helpful in finding a spot in the little hotel car park.

This hotel cost us £50 last minute for a wedding and served its purpose. The staff on the phone and the front desk were absolutely lovely.
It was noisy outside on the street and from the room upstairs, it was completely basic and felt more like a hostel, but for £50 what do you expect?

Great location close to metro station and town centre.
Despite numerous no smoking signs around the hotel and in bedroom there was an awful smell of stale tobacco throughout.

My double room was large, warm and comfortable. I was very grateful for the two blankets, as I was feeling under the weather, and really appreciated how comfortable the bed was for the same reason. Good to have a full sized kettle too. The staff here are brilliant - very friendly and professional, and when I couldn't access the wifi, the problem was sorted out immediately.
The rooms also seem to be very well laid out or sound proofed. I know that both neighbouring rooms were occupied, but I didn't hear a peep.
The location was great, with a glimpse of the sea and everything I needed within an easy walk. All in all, excellent VFM.
The noise from the nightclub downstairs is noticeable, especially when it closes on Saturday night. That happens about 2am, though, so not too much of an issue if you're a committed night owl like me.
The radiator in the shower room didn't work, and that room was very cold.

Staff were great, room was very clean (and cleaned every day if desired), everything smelled fresh and clean. Very close to beachfront and restaurants.
We were in room A1, a room with a double and single bed, which was right above a pub in the same building called Tanner Smith's. There was quiet, barely noticeable, music on Thursday night, slightly louder music on Friday night and a four-hour banging 90's house music DJ set on Saturday night from 8pm - midnight which literally vibrated the floors. Hotel staff were apologetic about this, the pub apparently are not open to discussion on keeping it down. This won't be an issue if you're not staying at the weekend, are in a room that isn't above the pub, or you're planning on being out past midnight anyway. There did appear to be plenty of rooms elsewhere in the hotel, so maybe check with them if you want somewhere quiet. We didn't ask to move rooms on the Saturday because we knew if would be over by midnight and were leaving the next day, but I'm sure the staff would have tried to accommodate us if possible.

Actual location was very good, right in city centre. 5 minutes from metro, 2 minutes from bus stop.
The noise from the bar directly below our room, boom boom music til midnight and we weren’t told about this even though the night porter repeatedly said to us that he told day staff to warn guests of noise. I won’t be staying there again!
