Hikers Sleep Port Guesthouse

Great hostel, Kazz was super attentive and a great host. We went on a great tour (sunrise, which I highly recommend ) the room was good and the showers/loo were clean and easy to use

We slept in the little tents and they were really cute, comfortable and incredibly quiet. We slept so well here. Breakfast in the morning is simple but exactly what you need before going hiking: unlimited toast with kaya or jam, tea and coffee. The owner is also incredibly kind and knows the area very well. He gave us great advice for our hike and helped us choose the right trail. We also really enjoyed just relaxing in the common room after exploring, reading a book with his music playing in the background. The whole place has a very chill and peaceful atmosphere. Simple, cozy and a perfect place to rest before or after a good hike.

As a female solo traveller I’m always nervous to go to hostels and this one really reminded me why they can be so much fun. It was a very relaxing environment and I felt safe. Kazz the manager was super welcoming and friendly, showed me all the good spots to eat and drink and gave everyone who was planning to do some hiking great advice. I also booked a day tour through him and he sorted it instantly for the next day. I stayed in one of the single tents, the mattresses are the usual hostel style ones so alittle thinner but do the job. The toilets and showers were lovely and clean. The location of the property is brilliant and super close to the coach / bus station. The common area was very nice with boiling water, microwave, toaster and fridge. And in the morning bread and spreads were provided for free! I would really recommend this hostel as i don’t think my experience in cameron highlands would have been the same without it!

Good location and the host was so friendly and helpful. Social room was nice with books to read, records to play and free tea and coffee. Dorms were very basic: just a mattress on the floor. It’s ok for a couple of nights.
