We stayed 3 nights. We liked: The property manager Gretl who was very responsive, friendly and helpful. We worried: The gas stove in the kitchen has a sticky knob or two and the gas leaks even when the knob is in the off position. We were very careful triple checking every time we used the stove. It was accurately advertised that the cabin is remote and needs 4WD. We agree. You need good navigation system - we used google maps as Waze did not work well for us and it helped. You are a 20 minute ride on unpaved roads from Santa Elena which is the nearest town. We decided to come to the cabin before dark daily. We were disappointed: The shower regulator is not working - cold water even in the maximum position although hot water was available in the kitchen and the sink. Made showering miserable. The shower cubicle is unique with two sliding doors meeting to form a corner. One of the doors was off the sliding rail and so getting in and out by using only one door was awkward. There was no washer/dryer as advertised in the listing. The owner argues that since a laundry service is provided for a fee, that is accurate which I believe is disingenuous. We were not comfortable getting our underwear washed by someone which I admit is personal preference. When we planned the trip, we made sure that at the half-way mark we will be able to wash our clothes for the second half of the trip and this threw our plans into disarray. She needs to advertise honestly

We originally had the house next door but there was a small confusion about availability so we were move next door. It seems like where we got moved into was an even nicer and bigger unit, so it worked out. Yessenia communicated flawlessly and gave us great recommendations for our short stay. We utilized the kitchen which helped us on our very fast trip. I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night. The place was very well kept and well built. The location is a bit away from the town but definitely worth it if your have a 4 wheel drive and looking for a remote, beautiful side of the cloud forest to immerse yourself in. I would definitely return!
