Het zijn super mooie kamers, van alle gemakken voorzien. Keurig schoon en vriendelijk ontvangst. De B&B is gelegen recht aan het meer (schuin) en lekker dichtbij het centrumtje van dit leuke plaatsje. Echt een prima plek om te verblijven.

Iets waar de eigenaar niks aan kan doen: naast de accommodatie zijn ze het hotel aan het renoveren, waardoor je op een bouwval keek. Maar dat is tijdelijk. Als je dat voor lief neemt en op het balkon ipv recht vooruit opzij keek, had je een prachtig uitzicht over het meer. Kleine tip aan de eigenaar: ik miste een simpele waterkoker en/of koffiezetapparaatje op de kamer.

The toilet seat had delaminated and looked gross and unhygienic.The first night the room was hot and we could not sleep. The air conditioner did not have a remote, nor was a fan available. Our room had a balcony adjacent to the fire escape and you could easily enter our room if we left the door open to try and cool our room. I asked reception about a fan but was told no that I could not have one, shoulders were shrugged and basically told nothing could be done about the room overheating. Ie, you have to put up with it.

We stayed here overnight on our road trip to Sicily and I can honestly say that you will not find more hospitable and friendly owners than B&B Sul Lago. Both are very nice people and helped make our stay more pleasant. Check in was easy and we were given useful information about the area, eg Where to eat etc. and at check out we were given useful advice about the possible routes to our next destination. The location was perfect, easy to find, close to the lake and with parking right outside in an allocated slot. (Which is directly next door to the Hotel who are charging more than double for parking in exactly the same place!) The room was clean, spacious, modern, and the bathroom was spotless. Even the toiletries provided were high quality. There was a good selection of sweet and savoury options for the continental breakfast. In all, a fabulous B&B that we will happily return to in the future.

Nothing to dislike

Breakfast was good and plentiful.

The room was quite dark with dark curtains to keep out the sun. Some net curtains to prevent the neighbours opposite from looking in when the curtains are open would be good.

The rooms were nice and spacious and very clean. They also offer breakfast even if it is limited number of guests!

Service times (reception for example) was a bit limited but it is understandable since it is located in a small town.

I think the beds were a bit stiff and the hot water was warm, not hot. Besides that, the time we had in Porlezza was great!!!
