The hosts for this cabin were more than accommodating. They made sure what we had everything that we needed including extra heaters. Knowing it was going to be colder than usual they called and gave us the option to rebook. We chose not too and I’m glad we didn’t. It is cozy and cute, just like the description and pictures are spot on accurate. In terms of some of the other reviews, it is a 100 yr old cabin. It is going to have imperfections and isn’t the Ritz. If you walk around naked, 24/7, this may not work for you. Overall, our stay was perfect, the cabin is wonderful, and the location is great. Highly recommend!

Breath taking View! Not a 5 star resort but doesn’t pretend to be. Only drawback is finding the parking in the back. Don’t come at NIGHT as it would be almost impossible to find. But once you’re there, I can guarantee it was everything I was looking for in a cabin

We absolutely loved the cabin! The deck & view were amazing. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for cleanliness is because the interior log walls were a little dusty. No biggie. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect, cozy stay at the cabin on Lake Catherine! The cabin was furnished well and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable, as well.

Def needs a good cleaning and updating.
After a walkthrough and noting the dirty conditions of bedroom and living room, we booked a hotel in town and never went back.

Well, we have stayed here multiple times. Due to issues beyond out of our control, this is the first visit in over a year. We felt like we were home again. We love this place so. My husband would never leave again. As usual, Nate and Dona have the cabin in immaculate shape. We never want for anything while we are there. Hopefully it will not be so long before we can come again. You will not be disappointed. (Just don't reserve when we want to. Haha).

We were totally totally satisfied with the cabin exceeded our expectations .The description is on point ! I have already requested another stay. Perfect for couples , sisters or friends. Cabin has everything you need . Not expecting a 5 star hotel, you are in nature . Beautiful views , great location to Hot Springs and oter attractions !!

Great vacation get away. The cabin was amazing!! Cozy and romantic. The views of the mountains and the lake were breathtaking. Great place to relax and slow down. Everything is close by so you don't have to wander too far. It was the perfect place and we will definitely be back again!!! Nate and Donna (the owners) were very helpful and friendly. Got back to us quickly with all the questions we had. (Sorry guys :) ) Great place to recharge!!

The pictures look amazing. We arrived late so it was dark out. We circled around the house multiple times finally found the address not lit at all. The. We could not find where to park. Again we circled around. Finally, we found that you get to the house by the street behind the house! Still not labeled well. The house itself was clean. We ended up having to clean the isolating fan ourselves because there was so much dust on it, that it was not producing any cool air. Not much lighting at all. I was trying to get ready for our wedding and just praying I looked decent once we walked out! Hah.

Wow-this was a PERFECT RETREAT from the hustle and bustle of life! We loved the rustic and historic aspect, which transported our minds to a simpler time. It was in a peaceful area, with a gorgeous view from the wide wrap-around porch! They’ve done a good job of updating an old place with modern appliances and all that’s needed. We absolutely recommend it to others and would love to return! ❤️

My wife and I really enjoyed the privacy of this property. We loved the view of the water and wildlife. Deer coming and going and it was great to sit out on the porch steps and look at the stars. This was our first ever log cabin experience and we were very happy. Would recommend to anyone.

After getting passed the absndoned mobile home atbthe front of the road, and atriving at the cabin, it was overall nice. The rustic feel was definitely something we like, and this cabin gave that vibe. The air conditioner didnt seem to be able to keep up with the summer heat. Which at times, temps got up to 98 degrees. This seemed to be our only complaint, and some of the surrounding properties were not maintained, overgrown weeds.

The location of the cabin was great. Short distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Quiet and very peaceful with a really nice view of the lake. Parking was initially a little confusing as we had to circle the block twice before finding the driveway on the street behind the cabin. Air conditioning was lacking and never really cooled to what we’re accustomed to. If we go back again it will not be during the summer months but perhaps later in the fall or early winter.

As soon as we were looking for the cabin it was already relaxing to us. Once we arrived we fell in love with the view! A few critters here and there im not used to and a wasp but its NATURE! Very cozy and romantic with all the needed accommodations. Will be returning in the future.

This was the perfect getaway for my Wife and I after shipping our 4 year old off to Paw Paw & GiGi for the Summer.
The cabin and lake surrounding gave us peace of mind, relaxation, along with space and time to reconnect with one another.
If you are looking for a quiet and quaint mini vacay this is definitely the spot. Highly Recommended

Really liked this rental. A little out to the way to get to, but worth it. Loved sitting on the porch in the evening. Surprised there were hardly any bugs. Didn't use the kitchen, but had a ton of supplies. Had a little trouble getting in. The door code was in my VRBO account and I had lost cell service, so I had to drive back to the main road to be able to access it. Would appreciate a better location identifier on the back road for the driveway. Could only see the numbers from one side. Some basic toiletries would be nice. Everything else there was plenty of.

We loved being close to downtown Hot Springs! The cabin wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. It was roomy enough for 2 people, but not much privacy with another house next door there were no curtains on the windows in the kitchen or living room - you could see inside. The air conditioners (there were 3 total one in the kitchen, living room & bedroom) were not traditional units & (no instructions 2 of the units we couldn’t figure out how to operate) they did not keep the cabin cool at night. We could tell someone had been in to clean before we arrived, but the beams on the ceiling (throughout the cabin) had not been cleaned - you could see dust & spiderwebs & under the TV were dead flys.
We also thought we would be on the water, but we were actually across the street from the lake and on a steep hill so we couldn’t walk out to the water (including this so no one makes the same mistake we did).
The inside of the cabin could use some updating!
It is conveniently located only 15 minutes from all the things we wanted to see!

This property is well described. And the pictures look exactly like the property does. The host is very friendly and responds promptly when called.
All in all we had a great time. The view from the deck above lake catherine is stunning. Lots of bird life and waterfowl. A bird watchers dream.
The cabin is rustic and very charming. Well appointed with nice furniture and the bed was comfortable.
We will definitely stay again our next trip.

We had an amazing time. The property was clean, nice and had a good view of the lake. The communication was great with the property manager. The location was 10-15 minutes away from major events . We will definitely return.

This property had a nice peaceful view but humble accommodations. The property is quaint but in need of some upgrades especially outside for the price. The kitchen was a disappointment (no kitchen towels or charcoal/matches for the grill).
Overall, the experience was fine, but I expect more for the price as compared to the other vrbo homes I have stayed with a similar price.
