Property is surrounded by beautiful scenery and our dog absolutely loved the area. We would love to get back in the spring/summer for more adventures

This rustic cabin is absolutley amazing! We stayed there over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The first night you could here howling and the views are breathtaking. It's remote but not so remote that you feel isolated. We brought all our food and cooked every meal there. The host was hands down the best we've ever encountered. Extremely considerate and stayed in touch to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. It was a great getaway and we have already started making plans on going back. The cabin is small so it's perfect for a family of 5 or less, I probably wouldn't want to share it with another family unless you have vacationed with them before. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the amount of history that's tied to this cabin. Lots of great books to read there as well.

What a great weekend! Wished we could have stayed longer. The cabin has so much character. Views are awesome and an excellent getaway from big city life. Thank you for hosting!

We found Deborahs detailed description of the cabin and surrounding area to be accurate we had a short 2 week stay and enjoyed it very much

As promised it is a log cabin and is remote and in the foothills of the Shoshone National Forest. There is an entrance to the Forest one mile from the cabin. You will want a four wheel drive to manage the unimproved stone lanes but truly worth it-very secluded.
Being an older cabin it was a bit rustic but that was expected. It is a true Western experience. Be prepared as it is bear country.
Great sunrise and sunsets! Loved watching from the wrap around porch as the light changed the color of the mountains.
Only real issue was the tub/shower-It is a tall tub and may be hard to get in and out. In addition there is an overhead structural log that kept me from standing straight up (I'm 6').

This was hands down the best vacation we've even been on. This is the coolest house. Very old west feeling from the moment you walk in the door. Deborah is so nice and super easy to work with and answered all of my questions. I would not change one single thing about this house. It's simply amazing. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch taking it all in. A week was definitely not long enough for us. We're planning to come back and stay longer next time.

The owner is amazing like her place, available for outdoor people such as my self with herds of antelope and horses, while listening to the neighbors chickens when woke up and having an outside bbq looking at the snow capped mountains, with indoor cast iron fire place to take the chill off, not to mention making homemade soup in the big cast iron pot.
The area offers an abundance of outdoor exploration where we say moose, deer, beavers, bison and so many birds.
Cody is not far and a great place to visit museums where famous westerners had been with an abundance of lakes and streams etc.
I could go on and on but will summarize this is an amazing place for outdoors and historical exploration, and even just staying in having a relaxing, zen day.

Beautifully decorated peaceful getaway. We were there during a snowstorm and the owner reached out to us offering a free night to keep us safe. Thank you Debbie for looking out for us.

We spent two days and wish we had stayed longer! The weather was FREEZING outside but the wood burning stove kept us warm and toasty. The cabin is remote, but within a very reasonable distance from Cody. There’s great fishing in the area and many other outdoor activities. We can’t wait to go back!

Our stay in Clark was enjoyable from start to finish. The pictures of the rental and surrounding area do not fully portray the great experience you will have here. If you enjoy outdoor adventures, if you enjoy natural beauty, or if you just want to be in a relaxing environment, book your stay here. You have all the amenities to keep you comfortable (even the wifi worked great), and Debbie was the best host, responsive and accommodating but respectful of your privacy. We hiked Clark's Fork Canyon, tracked down the McCullough Peaks mustangs, visited Cody and Yellowstone, and fished Bennett Creek. One week was not enough time for everything we wanted to do here, the list of possibilities is endless. If you need the Ritz Carlton, go stay there. If you are looking for peace or adventure, this is the place for you.

Everything about this property gave us the western vibes we were looking for! Surrounded by mountains, and a creek passing by down below, it was absolutely the perfect getaway!
Debbie is an incredible host! She was very very timely with responses and I think she may be my long lost twin with all that we had in common!
Relaxing on the wrap around porch or in the cabin itself, you felt absorbed in the history that had occurred inside those walls and right outside, with western/ Native American history.
I love that Debbie has kept this property true to history, with the modern amenities, and the fans were plenty to keep it cool for us! Anyone complaining in the reviews about the place not having AC should have read that before booking! I found it appealing as it added to the “going off the grid” feeling I was hoping for! And it was plenty cool at night!
The Cody Rodeo was a ton of fun, and Clark’s Fork was jaw dropping gorgeous! The museum was so interesting!
Thank you for letting us stay Debbie!
Our pups loved your place too!!

This review is little late but better late then never! My husband found this place for us. There has always been a vision of the perfect cabin. The one where the views would be amazing from every direction. The one where when you slept and would wake feeling refreshed. The one where you could see the sunrise over mountains. The one where you could watch the sun go behind a mountain range too. The one where you had peace. The one you could actually see yourself living in for the rest of your life. The one when you drove up you actually were smiling and crying at the same time....overwhelmed. Nothing fancy....just feeling that it was truly home and the imperfect was perfect. There was not one thing to change. We are so very fortunate to have found it. So very thankful. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful, private, comfortable, clean=perfect!
This was my first time in Wyoming and I fell in love with the cabin and Clark. We spent a week in this rustic-yet-luxurious cabin and alternated days going to Yellowstone and staying closer to Clark. It was a perfect mix. Yellowstone is amazing, grand, & very busy, and the Clark area is amazing, grand, and not busy. A short drive from the cabin (on the cabin's road) is one entrance to the Shoshone National Forest and we loved exploring that. The wrap-around porch was perfect and we spent most of our time out there enjoying the amazing views. The clean, sweet, amazing smell of sage was so lovely, especially after a light rain. I felt at home every moment we were there and fell in love with Wyoming. Debbi is an excellent host.
We live very far from this place, but I hope one day we can come back.

Relaxing get away
The cabin is a great place to sit by the wood stove or relaxing on the porch and watch the sun rise. It has everything one needs for a very relaxing get away. The owner is very good at responding to questions during booking and extremely accommodating. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet place to get away.

My son and i went skiing at Red lodge. It was the first time for bott of us staying in Montana. When I saw the online photos of the cabin i knew this was the right place a quiet western cowboy cabin with a Greta vie. Mountains on one aide and open prairie on the other. The sonorise ad wonderful everyday. The 45 min drive to Red lodge was worth it for What we gaines at the cabin.
The only issue was with wind whistling around the cabin. But we still slept welles in big bédés with plenty of warmth.

Historic cabin in the foothills
We enjoyed our stay at this historic cabin in Clark. There was a lot of history here. It’s beautifully decorated and classic. Don’t expect for the Hilton as it is an old cabin and you are getting the history. The wind was exceptionally high while we were there so it was hard to keep warm always. Beautiful sunrise views in the morning and the mountains directly behind. Star gazing was amazing as well. Be prepared to have any of your amenities along with you as you are not very close to any stores, eg kleenex, spices, condiments, toiletries as those things are not provided. Neither good or bad feedback on this piece it just is what it is. Thank you for the opportunity to experience your classic cabin and this part of WY!

Clark Cowboy Cabin
Amazing views right from the cabin porch with absolute privacy. Great place for a getaway. Yes, the ceilings are low in places and the bathtub shower is a little cramped, but my husband is 6’8” and handled it fine. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. On one rainy and cold day, we stayed in and played cards, read books and watched tv. It was very comfortable. It’s definitely a good thing there is a space heater in the living room as it can get chilly. It’s an old rustic cabin and we expected that. It’s a good location if you want to explore the Cody area and Yellowstone and if you have plans to explore in Montana too. Great to have laundry on site, especially after a lot of hiking. Big king bed was very comfortable. Not much to do in Clark, but that was a good thing. We bought groceries and cooked and enjoyed the opportunity to actually live in the beautiful Wyoming wilderness.

Well rested stay. Only issue was the height if the ceilings my husband had to duck going into the kitchen.

We had an excellent time at the cabin. The scenery was stunning, and the accommodations were exactly as stated. We loved the "old west" experience of this iconic cabin. Close to Yellowstone and modern conveniences for those who would ever want to leave the serenity! Thank you for such a great vacation!

I can handle rustic all day long, this was a serious misrepresentation of the rental, so many things not working and the flies were unbearable, could not use the kitchen. This was not just a matter of broken screens (which there were many) letting them in. This was an infestation that needs to be addressed by a professional. Don't look under the bed and forget about an enjoyable shower. A window curtain was used as a shower curtain, if you were 5' 8" you were not going to stand erect. Wish I could post pics. Deborah Richardson and Vrbro should be ashamed to charge those prices for this ----hole. It's apparent neither one has visited the property in quite a long time. If they did they would take it off the rental list until it was brought up to acceptable standards. We had 2 guests visit for the day, how embarrassing, had to stay outside the whole time. Planned on cooking but had to go out for every meal. They said it slept 7 but nothing to accommodate that amt. of people, from living room furniture, beds, hooks to hang a bathroom towel & seating at the dining room table. Again, if I could post pics I wouldn't have to write another word.

My husband and I can't say enough good things about this place! It was way more than we expected. There not being air was no problem at all. The windows let in such great breezes that are very plentiful on the mountain. We hiked a little in Clark's Fork Canyon and down to the creek by the cabin. The access to BLM land was a big plus too. The kids caught(and released) a bunch of lizards. Our 5 kids are 12, 10, 8, 3 and 2 and we all fit just right in the cozy cabin along with our dog. Also, Jim was super friendly and easy to get ahold of. We would definitely book again!
