Our family included grandparents, parents, and two teenage girls and the accommodations could not have been better. The apartment was gorgeous, with marble tile floors, high ceilings and tasteful decoration. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms perfectly fit the needs of our diverse group. The apartment is located in quite enclave near the beautiful Villa Borghese park with all of its wonderful attractions and we found two really excellent full service restaurants and an outstanding pizzeria within walking distance (5 minutes at most) of the apartment. Transportation to Rome center and the Vatican from the apartment was also easily accessible. Marina, our host, was delightful and wonderfully helpful - both prior to our arrival and throughout our 3 night stay. This is our second visit to Rome and when we return, which we will, we will plan our visit to stay in Marina's apartment.

The property is in a charming house and in a convenient neighborhood away from the hustle of downtown Rome but within walking distance of public transportation to get to restaurants and sites. Marina, the owner was incredibly helpful. We did not cook there during our 3 day stay but potential cooks should note that the kitchen is a "pocket kitchen" behind doors and not a separate full room.

Marina is an exceptional host! She provided us great suggestions on food, sites, and transportation. She provided a wheelchair for my 84 year old mother-in-law, which made all our sightseeing manageable! She was available for any/all our questions, including setting up final airport transportation. She made our trip very special.
The property itself is in a tranquil location, with beautiful gardens, in the heart of Rome. Bedrooms are large and bathrooms are nicely appointed. Close to transportation options, easy to request an Uber, or explore on foot. Would highly recommend.

We were very comfortable in this apartment, which was clean, charming, and had working appliances that served us well. Marina lives in the building and she was available to address any requests we had. It was helpful that she let us keep our luggage at the property several hours before check in, as our long flight had arrived early in the morning and we had several hours to pass before we could settle in. Supermarket and coffee shop are a good 10 minutes away by foot and while the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are both within 30 minutes of waking, you will need to learn the bus system to access the other major sites in Rome. There are several bus lines close to the apartment and it’s not hard to navigate. You can purchase tickets on the bus with a credit card only but you can only purchase one ticket per credit card. Better to purchase tickets ahead of time at the coffee shop or at a metro station or tobacco shop. Pool is available but you have to pay extra. Overall, a very nice place within reach of attractions, for a reasonable price. I would return.

This very nice apartment added a lot to our wonderful stay in Rome. Each of the 3 bedrooms was nicely equipped with good privacy, the hallway kitchenette had everything needed to make some simple meals, there was a nice little common/dining room to eat in, the location offered good access to sites of interest and to public transportation where you can reach everything. The owner was very nice with lots of advice on things to do and the logistics of getting around.

Nice appt in a beautiful building. Close to piazza del popolo but also many buses. The appt was very nice, has got all you need. Beds were good, so were the bathroos. And we were very happy with the airco. The pool was georgous too!
Maria was so helpful and kind.
Hope to come back!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Marina’s VRBO apartment. It was very clean, has three good size bedrooms and easily accommodated a family of five. It was an easy walk to the bus or Metro (although we did not use either) and an easy walk to Piazza del Popolo and from there, shopping and other sights. We were there on extremely hot days and were very thankful for the air conditioning in all the rooms. We did not use the kitchen other than the fridge and bowls, cups and utensils for breakfast. The apartment included a washing machine that we used but you may need to bring some laundry detergent. Marina was generous with her help and was always available to answer our questions. We would definitely stay at Marina’s place again if we return to Rome. Thank you, Marina!

Marina was a friendly and communicative host. Nice first floor apartment with beautiful details. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. Small kitchenette. 0.4 mile walk to the metro.

Our stay at Marina’s apartment was wonderful. It is very clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The listing is accurate and Marina met us early and took our luggage so we could go explore. It was a nice walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We had trouble getting a taxi one morning for an excursion- we assumed it would be fairly easy. Public transport was very close so we should have left earlier and relied on that. Marina is a wonderful host! Highly recommend!!

First off, the apartment was nice and as described. The check in process was arbitrary, we were made to wait until 3 pm to get into the apartment although it was available at 9 am and we stored our luggage. Marina knew we were waiting to get in ASAP and didn't show up to unlock the door until a few minutes after 3 pm. The apartment was listed as having air conditioning, but beware, you are not allowed to use it unless the apartment is hotter than 80 degrees. It is far from commercial areas so be prepared to walk at least 10 min for a restaurant, grocery store or anything - then come back to a hot apartment. Marina did make a dinner reservation for us one night which was appreciated. However, she offered to call us a cab if we needed one (we were unable to call Italian phone numbers on our phones) but whenever we asked her to actually do it she said, the cabs won't come pick you up. So we walked everywhere, including to the train station with our luggage on the last day (about a 2 mile walk). Rome was great but we should have stayed somewhere more convenient.

This property is an excellent rental for a family visiting Rome. Marina is extremely helpful recommending places to visit, eat, etc. She has a book prepared with instructions on how to get places and is always available for questions. We had five adults and never felt crowded. The grounds of the apartment is something to enjoy in itself. There are many resturants and sites within walking distance. Highly recommend this place!

This property is outstanding! The location is spot-on if you want to be a little outside the city center but close enough to walk or take a short cab ride to all the major tours, must-see landmarks and museums.
The property is a short walk to a major park that's akin to Central Park of New York, only it's better! The property itself is historic and has such lush flowers, beautiful well-kept grounds and is quiet. These qualities are so welcoming after a day of tours or sight-seeing.
It was a once in a lifetime trip for our daughters to see Rome with it's rich history and thanks to Marina for offering her beautiful property in a great location to visitors like us, it was an amazing visit. All of her recommendations for restaurants and the must-sees of Rome were perfect. THANK YOU!!

We had 4 days in the property. It is located in a great part of the city, easily walkable to main attractions with lots of great bars/restaurants nearby. The owner was very helpful and friendly and would thoroughly recommend it.

Marina was so wonderful. Her home is beautiful. She was so helpful with taxis, places to eat, where to go and what to see. I also had an unfortunate accident and broke my foot while in Italy. Marina was able to find us a wheelchair and get it delivered. She went above and beyond. If we go back to Rome we will stay here.

We were traveling with our adult children. The photos don't even do this property justice. It exceeded our expectations. The building and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large and the bedding is very comfortable. The flat was immaculate. It's also near a trolley stop and we loved the restaurant (Sud) that the host, Marina, recommended. Also, Marina is fantastic! She was so helpful to us! Would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely apartment and our host Marina was super sweet. She is quite proud of her apartment and took time to review everything with us, including great recommendations for local restaurants and tips for other experiences during our stay.

Beautiful flat & courtyard! Marina was a fantastic host with support and suggestions whenever needed it, from transportation to reservations. Flat was well appointed with everything we needed!

The apartment is ideally located to visit Rome with all commodities nearby. The subway is ten minutes away on foot, there are numerous restaurants and even a nice market in the vicinity if one is willing to cook fresh Italian products. The booklet prepared by the owner contains many practical information and was very useful.
The apartment is spacious with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything corresponds to the pictures shown in the presentation of the place. The kitchen, which is in the hallway, can be closed like a wardrobe. Even modest in size, nothing is missing in the kitchen which has even an induction cooker. The owner was really helpful and always available given us information, advice that made our stay in Rome great and unforgettable. Thanks again Marina

We absolutely loved staying in this 3 BR apartment! Being a bit away from the inner city of Rome was perfect yet very accessible to all major attractions by foot, bus or Uber/Taxi. Close to groceries, cafes, restaurants and Pharmacy. Marina was a perfect hostess. Meeting us and providing a tour and explaining all about the apartment and neighborhood! Was nice to see her when we were out and about. Always a genuine smile and pleasant to be around.
Apartment was very tidy, clean and we loved its decor and old world charm. Beds were very comfortable. Staying among green gardens and pomegranate trees was so special!
We hope to some day return because 4 days was not enough time to see all Rome has to offer. We would certainly return to Marinas special neighborhood and apartment. Gracie Marina

The property is in a small gated community and has beautiful gardens surrounding it. At our arrival, Marina, greeted us. She was so friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. She even booked us a taxi when we were leaving. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Definitely doesn't feel like a rental property. Location was good. It is not in the city centre and crowded but we were able to walk to most of the attractions such as Palazzo del Popolo. Marina recommended we eat at Bubi's restaurant near the apartment which was amazing! Hope we get to go back again. Would definitely stay here again. Ciao!

The property was very spacious, clean and surrounded by gardens. An oasis in the busy city. We walked everywhere to get to all the attractions and took a short cab ride home when we were tired. Marina was very helpful and a lovely host. I would definitely stay here again!

This property and it’s owner were wonderful! Everything was clean and spacious. All of the rooms including the bathrooms were large and well-equipped. Although the location was a little off the beaten path, it was always easy to get an Uber or taxi. Marina was super helpful and accommodating. She went out of her way to make recommendations and help us with our luggage for early check-in and late check-out. So nice to deal with such a pleasant and lovely person. Thank you Marina!

The location was absolutely perfect for us, just a short walk north of Piazza del Popolo, the Flaminio tram and Linea A metro stop are quick and easy to reach. Villa Borghese is a mere 5 minute walk once you step out of the apartment door. The house and gardens radiate throughout with pride of ownership and all of the neighbors were delightful and friendly. The groundskeeper is clearly good at what he does and it shows. The building is historic and simply beautiful to look at, both indoor and outdoor. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. It was exactly as described and pictured. Marina was a gracious and accommodating host, making our week-long stay in Rome an absolute delight. Marina received us at the front gate, allowing a slightly early check-in on account of our train arrival. After giving us a tour of the lovely 3-bedroom, 2-bath apartment, Marina spent the next 90 minutes personally guiding us through her neighborhood pointing out the buildings, trams, metros, streets, shops, delis, restaurants, grocers and just about everything we laid our eyes. She even took us to the local Carrefour and helped us pick out the right, bread, wine, salumi, cheese and other staple goods we enjoyed during our stay. We were simply amazed at how welcoming and gracious Marina was with her time and knowledge. Marina is an accomplished and consummate host, providing guests with a written guidebook in multiple languages that offers tips and info on everything from wifi, things to do, places to see, including activities for families and young children, and so on. Her professionalism and consideration shine through. We were very pleased and our expectations were far and away exceeded by her generosity and collegiality, and accommodations that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. As a special bonus, Marina stepped us through her private garden and generously gave us fresh mint, basil and sage from her herb garden. What a special treat! Marina is simply a joy and has an infectious laugh and smile. We really lucked in! Communication with Marina was easy; responses were immediate, complete and super helpful. Marina suggested several transport routes to the various places we would visit, including the Vatican and other parts of historic Rome. I would definitely return and recommend this place to my family. Thank you Marina for a fantastic stay in your beautiful home. Arrivederci.

Perfect Location for Roman Holiday
Located just a 5-8 minute walk in one direction from Piazza del Popolo and the other direction from the Borghese Gardens. This is an elegant apartment, full of old world charm but also well fitted for modern life - a/c in all the rooms and a well equipped kitchen. The owner is a lovely person who is extremely helpful, with great tips about Rome and shopping and restaurants in the neighborhood. Great experience for this family of 5.

Italian hospitality !
Thank you Marina for a wonderful birthday stay with you in your lovely apartment. Your warm welcome at the street with roses for my birthday was the most most pleasant Buongiorno! The apartment met my family's needs and comfort. Most especially the space and on the 1st floor! We slept comfortably and that huge bathtub was quite welcomed at the end of long, hot days. Thank you for your tips and things to do/see during our short time. Your gardens are lovely and smell divine.
I recommend your apartment and your warm hospitality to anyone; should we come again (in cooler months) I will reach out in hopes of staying with you again.
Grazie Mille!
Auguri!

Comfortable and happy place to stay while visiting Rome!
Marina is a lovely host with a heart of gold. She made every effort to take care of everything that we asked about. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and in a safe neighborhood. The combo washer/ dryer worked great. The wifi was not working in the apartment, but, she allowed us to sit in her garden and use her wifi to do our Covid tests to board our cruise ship. She even sat with us and offered us Prosecco and other beverages while doing the tests. She helped us arrange transportation while in Rome too. We give Marina 5 stars and miss her already!!!

The property was close to amenities and attractions. Host made great recommendations and took care of our laundry but charged us hidden fees when our stay ended. We made our full VRBO payment at the time of booking, but host refused to let us leave without paying “additional” fees not included in the listing description. Ended up paying her 100 euros more due to her omissions about “Italy’s residential fees and taxes”. Weather was extremely hot and the listing promised AC but she wouldn’t let us use it until the outside temperature exceeded 30 celsius. As long as she fixes her lies in the description it’s a nice place to stay.

Very nice flat for all Rome excursions
We stayed for 16 days in the flat with a family of 5, the flat is nicely situated, you can make most excursions by foot. The landlady is very kind and cares a lot, the rooms are exactly like the pics in the ad, we enjoyed it very muc. Because we were not in a hurry we really lived there, watched TV, played games, went shopping, did some cooking, it was a really great time, we were very lucky with the weather. The landlady was very easy to approach and really very helpfull in every way. Great thanks to her.

Grazie mille Signora Marina
