Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen, sehr geräumig und es ist praktisch, dass es zwei Toiletten gibt. Die Mitarbeiter von Happy Rentals antworten auf Mails zügig und sind zuvorkommend. Ich war im Vorfeld unserer Reise verunsichert, weil nach unserer Buchung einige negative Bewertungen aufgetaucht waren. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und bemüht, alle offenen Fragen zu beantworten und meine Befürchtungen zu zerstreuen. Auch vor Ort wurde uns entgegengekommen, wir durften die Schlüssel in der Wohnung lassen und mussten so vor der Abreise nicht noch einmal zum Büro. Es gab für jede Person ein kleines Handtuch und ein Duschtuch, wir hatten reichlich Toilettenpapier in der Wohnung, es gab ein Geschirrspülset mit Lappen, Schwamm und Spüli und eine Flasche Sekt. Tatsächlich kann ich im Nachhinein nicht nachvollziehen, dass einige Reisende derart unzufrieden mit der Wohnung waren.

Der Straßenlärm- in unserem Fall noch verstärkt durch Baustellenlärm - macht es unmöglich, mit offenem Fenster zu schlafen. Bei den hochsommerlichen Temperaturen, die wir hatten, war das unangenehm. Immerhin gibt es zwei Ventilatoren. Dahingehend sind die Fotos aber auch sehr ehrlich, die Größe der Straße vor dem Balkon und die Bahnhofsnähe ließen auch keine ruhige Umgebung vermuten. Es roch insbesondere in den innenliegenden Bädern nicht so gut, wir haben das mit Raumduft aber ganz gut hinbekommen. Die Küchenausstattung ist mäßig. Die Kopfkissen fanden wir äußerst unbequem.

~Distance between office and apartment doesn’t sound like much, but walking to the apartment from the train station with our backpacks at the end of a long day, realizing the office is at a different location (yes this is disclosed in the information package but still doesn’t make sense till you get there), walking there (don’t forget how many hills there are in Lugano), getting the keys and then a bus part way back was a lot. It would be better if a/ there were distinct directions to first go to the office at the provided address or b/ have a lockbox directly at the apartment to retrieve keys. The systems at our previous 2 apartments were much easier for us as weary guests. ~Strange smell in apartment, like it was closed up too much, like a musty cupboard sort of. ~Very noisy street for having balcony doors open ~Part of policy is that we’re asked to remove all bedding. No guest wants to see what’s under those sheets. ~It would be helpful to have an image of the garbage disposals added to the other photos given to us. We don’t have the same system where we are from. We talked at length about it before my daughter figured out where they were and how they work.

Location was great - accessible to main areas and station. Welcome bottle on arrival was a nice touch.

Very tired and dated. Furniture was old, in poor condition, and beds exceptionally uncomfortable. The facilities were poor - the hairdryer didn't fit any plugs for example. Upon leaving you are asked to strip the beds - I wish we hadn't complied as when we did so, we had to see disgustingly stained mattresses, pillows and duvets. You also have to collect and drop keys from somewhere 20 mins away which is really inconvenient - they should invest in a lock box. They granted our request to leave keys on property otherwise we would have missed our train so that was kind. If owners invested a little more in updating the deco and ensuring facilities were fit for purpose it would be a great place to stay. Overall it did the job as somewhere to stay but pictures make it out to be much nicer than the reality.
