Vence - Beautiful Home built into the Ramparts of Medieval Village
Vence è chiamata la Città dell'Arte e questa casa di 600 anni, magnificamente modernizzata, riflette quel nome. Tre delle stanze, la sala d'ingresso, il soggiorno, la camera da letto principale e l'ampia terrazza sono stati decorati da Philippe Roessler, un noto artista locale. La sala d'ingresso contiene un camino provenzale e autentiche travi in legno. Il soggiorno ha anche un camino e autentiche travi in legno. Tutte e quattro le camere hanno il proprio bagno. Ci sono due camere da letto per ogni piano, le camere da letto frontali si affacciano su rue de la Coste nel centro storico. Le camere posteriori offrono una fantastica vista ai piedi delle Alpi Marittime e della Cappella Matisse. La casa ha un ampio garage con parcheggio facile. L'ampia terrazza ha la vista ai piedi delle Alpi e guarda ad est verso le colline sopra Monaco. Ci sono più di 20 ristoranti e caffè all'aperto in pochi minuti a piedi. L'ufficio postale, l'ufficio turistico, le banche, i negozi di articoli da regalo e il mercato sono tutti a pochi minuti di distanza.

We had a fantastic time. We were 3 couples. Three huge bedrooms, 2 look at the mountains and 1 the tiny streetKitchen is well kept, and there is a washerWe used the terrace on the roof every night for drinks and there is a mini fridge there that worksThe property manager was fantastic and helped when we needed himThe bathrooms are a bit weird as 2 of them have bathtubs but u get used to itThe location is to die for. It’s in the old town and walking distance to 10 restaurants Plenty of bakeries, pharmacies and 1 supermarket We chose not to hire a car and instead bought a bus pass. The 9 bus is a 5 min walk and then takes you to the train station 20 mins away and from there you can go to Monaco or Cannes cheaply

Large comfortable house in the old town, wonderful views. Great to have use of garage, but be careful of internal stairs up to house. Edna was very welcoming at check-in. The only shower needs work.

My husband, two friends and I rented John's home for 8 days. We were all so impressed with everything about his home! It was definitely the nicest place and location I have EVER rented from VRBO. From the minute we arrived Milan was there helping us with directions and then introduced us to the home. He was so friendly and kind, he even brought us a huge bouquet of flowers from his garden on the third day! The home was immaculate, well equipped and the absolutely the most perfect location you could ever hope for! On a scale of 1 – 10 it was a 20! The view from all the terrace and living room was without compare. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans to prepare our meals, and all the bedrooms were so comfortable. The walkway at the front door is something out of a painting with cobblestone, narrow walkway and flowers. An huge plus was the private, secure garage located right under us (parking is impossible in most French cities!) I highly recommend this home, it is very spacious and would be very comfortable for up to 8 people. There is very good public transportation to Vence from Nice, but it might be a little difficult without a rental car as it is a small town and you will want to explore the countryside. We had a rental car and drove to Antibes, Cannes, Monaco, Italy and the Alps. Driving in France was easy as it is right sided as in US, and we became expert at roundabouts!
