The place was pretty nice but the pictures are VERY misleading and do not represent what you will be getting. What you actually get is a bedroom with an attached bathroom, which has no door. There are two other units upstairs (walls are thin as paper and doors slam loudly and echo) and there is a common area downstairs.
*Pic 1 is not the same room, the only thing similar is the bed is the same style. The furnishings are not that new looking either.
*Pic 2 is correct, but taken at a deceiving angle. Look
closely and you will notice there is no door
*Pic 3 does not exist in this rental.
The other thing is it is on a VERY busy road and it sounds like people drag racing all night long.
One last item, mentioned only for others, is the brick walkway leading to the front door is very uneven and would be dangerous for the elderly or someone with any physical conditions.
It wasn't an awful stay, but was not at all as expected or as represented by the images. We won't be booking this place in the future.

Very cool historic house. The Sion Bass Suite had everything you need for an overnight stay or longer, just as advertised. Awesome antique furniture, especially the canopy bed. Old, old places with modern updates are always the best way to go !! Communication with host Mike was easy as was the check-in and check-out process. Very close to downtown venues and safe neighborhoods for walking. Lots of great restaurants, breweries, parks, and walking trails. Ft Wayne is a great place to visit so we plan to go back and will stay at the house again if we can. Go check it out

I would stay there again, and I would recommend to friends. Room was clean. Bed was super comfortable! There is a table area downstairs where you can play a card game or do a puzzle. The outside could use a bit of TLC, but we were there in early spring, so they probably didn't get a chance to get to it, yet.

Had a nice time for the Labor Day holiday. Communication was great and check in was easy. Others noted the location was noisy but we didn’t notice that. Loved the historical property and comfortable bed. Will return!

Room was quaint. Would maybe provide a bath bomb but the tub was lovely. I live in town but would definitely stay again. Only criticism would be the runners trip you up

Nice place, but the cleaning can be better
The location and place looks great, but there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom when we arrived and the towels smelled, so they weren’t clean as well.

Wonderfully restored vintage Italianate structure furnished appropriately in period pieces. Absolutely loved our stay. Like Ancestry.com for going back to one's Ft Wayne roots. Will definitely be back!

We had a little hiccup in the beginning that Mike addressed right away. Loved the room and enjoyed the parlor to sit and relax. The tub was amazing.

Perfect Overnight Stay
So glad I picked this as our option for a quick road trip. We loved the comfy room, and enjoyed a local restaurant! I really wanted a hot tub for this trip so the jacuzzi tub in the room was a great substitute for that. If I’m ever in town again I’d love to come back.

Loved this room!
We enjoyed our stay in this tastefully decorated room. The bed was extremely comfortable, jacuzzi was super. Great downtown location. We would definitely stay here again

The place was very clean, the bed very comfortable.
The outside grounds were not inviting with weedy flower beds.
In spite of that we enjoyed our stay at the Sion Bass House.

A step back in history
This is a beautiful, historic setting to stay in Fort Wayne. I enjoyed the history of the house and the pictures and furniture and period ambiance. It was quiet and peaceful. Being winter, I especially enjoyed the fireplace in the room. I could easily walk from the Sion Bass House to the convention center and back. I'd love to come back in the spring/summer and see the garden, walkway area better. I would stay here again.
Unfortunately, my towels smelled a little musty, the pillows did not smell fresh, and the room was not as clean as expected (found a tissue and a used spa soap container, as well as guides to Fort Wayne from 2016 in the drawers).
Nevertheless, it was a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend the room and the place to others.

We had a great experience.
The building is historic and very charming. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the jacuzzi tub and fireplace. It made for a wonderful get away for my husband and I. Only suggestion would be disposable cups for the bathroom, and a sheer or something over the bath window. No privacy issue, just bright light from the street. Good location, walking distance to restaurants. We were very pleased and will recommend to others.

Good location, pretty historical home
Love older homes and this did not disappoint. Unfortunately the room faced front of street and cars continued to make noise past midnight. Made it difficult to fall/stay asleep. Also room could use pull down shades to block more of the lights from bldg across street.

Quaint and historic
Our Sion Bass guestroom was large and comfortable, except for the bright lights outside at night. Traffic noise took some getting used to, especially since our room faced the street. The bed was terrific, the coded entry keypads were great, and the host communicated exceptionally well.

Comfortable stay in a great location.
We were in Fort Wayne to do research at the Allen County Library, so what better place to stay than a historic home only two blocks away! Our room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Having separate shower and toilet area was ideal. A electric fireplace was a charming addition in the nicely furnished room. There was plenty of space to open suitcases and still have room to walk around, there was even a small fridge in the room. Coffee was provided downstairs in the main area along with some yummy cookies. Sion Bass in a great location for walking to the area restaurants and coffee shops. Being an older home we were worried that sounds would carry through the walls but that was not the case at all. The only draw back being an older home one could not open the windows and to let fresh air in. We will certainly stay there again when we return to Fort Wayne. No need to spend high dollar for the chain hotels a block away when you can relax in a charming historic home.

Great atmosphere in the heart of downtown
My wife and I were in town for a conference at the Grand Wayne. The house is in such a great place and close to so much of downtown. We will definitely be staying again.

Beautiful, comfortable and quaint
This property was everything I expected it to be. The home is beautiful and tastefully decorated to match its era. The location is perfect! It’s close to the downtown nightlife but still quiet enough to retreat to when it’s time to turn in for the night. The room had a two person jacuzzi tub, a fireplace and a gorgeous king size bed that makes for a wonderfully romantic getaway.
I would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here the next time I’m in Fort Wayne!
