This has to be one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! So many details have been considered for guests. Bed was comfortable, towels were soft, snacks and breakfast items were delicious. We enjoyed the fire pit in the morning and the hot tub in the evening.
This was an incredible value and deserves more than the 5 stars! Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area.

We chose this VRBO because of its close proximity to Asheville and were extremely pleased with the privacy it offers and the nicely upgraded and spotless apartment. Bet and her husband are the most welcoming hosts offering snacks and small bites for those who stay and don’t want their first stop to be a grocery store. The hot tub was a complete bonus and nice touch especially for long days on your feet exploring all NC has to offer. They offer a helpful guest book and we went to many of their recommended “to dos” while visiting adding in a Hot Springs resort and spa day. Would highly recommend.

This was a little slice of Heaven! Bet pampers her guests! It’s really magical how this place is layed out and so pretty! We were greeted with fresh fruit and ham and cheese sandwiches on sweet bread! That was so appreciated as we had grown quite hungry during our drive. The place was as clean as a 5 star hotel and there is everything you could possible need for a comfortable stay. We took walks in the evening and really enjoyed cooking on the outdoor grill and using the kitchen. Btw high end appliances! Don’t get me started on the bed..! So comfortable, nice bedding and all the while being surrounded by hugh windows to look out at the beautiful trees and a meadow that deer visited us in one morning. The jacuzzi tub was great and very private it even rained while we were soaking! I could go on and on but I think it’s pretty obvious that we fell in love with this place! Hopefully someday we will make it there again! Thank you Bet! All you effort and attention to detail is impressive and you definitely know how to make a person feel safe and welcome! Tanya & Dave 💕

The apartment was wonderful as was the location. Bet and John were very accommodating and answered any questions that we had in a timely manner. Enjoyed sitting on the sun porch watching for wildlife! Especially the white squirrel!!!! Would definitely stay there again if back in the Asheville area.

Bet was an amazing host. The property was beautiful and cozy. There was a lot of details that made this visit extra special including home made muffins, a local info guild, and honey from their own behives. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortably furnished. Brand new appliances with smart tvs that were already setup with multiple streaming services made it a seamless experience to relax after a day of hiking. Most of the places we wanted to visit were within 10 miles of the property. I spent every morning in the sunroom drinking complementary coffee, white squirrel/ bird watching. I proposed to my now fiancée on this trip and we have already talked about coming back to visit for our anniversaries. This property and the care put into it made it extra special and we wont stay anywhere else in Asheville because of it.

The apartment was large, clean, and well appointed. We enjoyed the beautiful woods from our room and seeing the stars from the hot tub. The breakfast goodies were great and the hosts were gracious and responsive. Definitely a great place to get away from it all but also be close to all the Asheville area has to offer. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hope to be able to return.

My husband booked a surprise getaway to visit the Biltmore and Asheville. He found The Bluebird’s Nest while searching for VRBO rentals near Asheville. This location was highly rated and seemed like a good fit. I’m happy to say that it met and even exceeded our expectations. The rental unit was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It has all the amenities of home. We used the hot tub and even built a fire one night. The location is close to town and close to the Biltmore Estate - just a very convenient location. Lastly, Bet and John are awesome hosts. They could not have been more accommodating and hospitable. They came over when we arrived and introduced themselves, sharing tips for things to do and places to eat around town. Bet even came and joined us for a late night talk one night on the deck under the stars. Her breakfast sandwiches, muffins and fresh fruit were also appreciated. Fine people and a great experience.

As soon as I walked in I was taken with the spaciousness, cleanliness and the absolutely perfectly chic decor. Our host gave us time to get settled in and came down to introduce herself and show us around. Bet provided an awesome breakfast that was there when we checked in- fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt and some lovely ham and cheese sliders. This made the mornings so easy because we snacked on it throughout our stay before heading out for each day. There were also a few snacks provided that came in handy when we were being lazy and watching tv. The hosts have provided literally everything you could need: pamphlets for things to do, a binder with information/recommendations, games, kitchenware, etc.
The hot tub was awesome and felt very private nestled in the deck with the forest in front of us. It was always clean and at a good temperature (we have been to properties where it was so hot you couldn’t get in or looked a little dirty or smelled mildewy) and we enjoyed going out after dark to see the stars.
The location of this property is perfect; it’s approximately 10-15 minutes from downtown and The Biltmore and again- the woods give you that “away” vibe. There is even a beautiful sunroom where I enjoyed my coffee and enjoyed the forest view. There is another unit next door and even though it was occupied, we never heard or crossed paths with the other tenants as the entrances are on opposite sides with parking on each side. I would absolutely stay again!

The owners have everything you need at this great property. They really go out of their way to make you comfortable, from stopping by to introduce themselves to making sure there are breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit in the refrigerator. Everything was very clean. We would definitely stay here again. The two apartments also “adjoin” if you’re traveling with friends.

What a lovely place to stay! It is located in a very peaceful area with a beautiful outlook. The property is very thoughtfully appointed with great attention to detail. There is plenty of space to relax inside, and the attached sunroom is such a bright, nice place to sit and read or watch TV. Everything feels so clean, fresh and well thought out. There are a few different areas to sit outside and enjoy the scenery, which is highly recommended. Our hosts, Bet & John are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for allowing us to stay in this delightful property.

Can’t say enough good about this VRBO! Betty’s place was not only spacious and clean, she thought of all the extras that make the stay so much better! Continental breakfast, snacks, fresh cut-up fruits, coffee and bottled waters….we felt so welcomed! The decor is peaceful and classy, while being comfortable as well. The bed linens were high quality and the bed so comfortable.
The location is near everything but private enough to relax and enjoy the scenery. Even the local little white squirrel came by a few times! This will be our go-to place to stay for future Asheville visits! Thank you, Betty, for such great hospitality!!

My mom and I decided to take a little Mother-Daughter trip to Asheville since it seemed like a place we would both enjoy, but may not be a top choice for the rest of the family. Bet was the perfect hostess. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. We were especially fond of the mornings when we enjoyed the amazing breakfast Bet provided, while watching the birds, squirrels, deer, and wild turkeys enjoying their breakfast. Bet was wonderful in providing information about things to do in the area. We will definitely be back!

From the moment I saw the Bluebirds Nest on VRBO and arrived, to the moment we left, I was in love with this sweet property! Bet & Johnny are the best hosts we have ever had hands down. I was so impressed with the cleanliness, style and the breakfast provided, oh my goodness you will love it! The location is perfectly convenient to everything, Downtown, Biltmore, Breweries...exactly per Betty's description. We saw so much wildlife right from the private sunroom; deer, turkeys, even the white squirrel came to say goodbye the day we left! If you are looking for that special place to stay and enjoy Asheville, you do not want to pass on this amazing accommodation. You will be treated like family too, a true home away from home with everything you need right there, and as mentioned the best breakfast that lasts for a few days! We will definitely stay here again when in Asheville!

My sister and I met in Asheville for a girls weekend and had the pleasure of staying at the Bluebirds Nest. The property is very clean and well maintained. There was fruit, muffins and quiche in the refrigerator when we arrived which was great! The house is in great proximity of everything that we wanted to do. We had a wonderful trip and would definitely book again!

Great place to stay. The host, Bet, was excellent. My wife and I had an emergency at home and had to push back our trip by a couple of days and Bet was happy to accommodate our change in plans. The place was amazing and close to downtown. We highly recommend the Bluebird and will definitely be back.

My husband and I had the best anniversary trip to Asheville. Our stay at The Bluebirds Nest hosted by Bet and Johnny was lovely! They were amazing hosts and were so easy to communicate with. They were on top of everything! The breakfast foods provided were delicious. Mrs. Bet had a notebook of helpful information and suggestions for things to do, places to eat, and places to visit during our stay. My husband and I loved waking up and sitting outside, enjoying the quiet and watching the deer across the yard. We sat around the fire pit in the evening. Mrs. Bet did everything in her power to make sure we would have a wonderful time. We hightly recommend a stay at one of their rentals. The Bluebirds Nest was beautiful and fully furnished and stocked. We will definitely return for another amazing trip to Asheville and a stay with Bet and Johnny!

We found the owner very pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the well-appointed flat, which has large windows, garden and natural edge-of-woods outlook and gets lots of natural light. The fully equipped kitchen has excellent appliances and everything one might need for cooking from scratch. The location is convenient to Asheville by car (10-15 mins away.). We enjoyed the hot tub on the elevated deck.

As the other reviews have stated, Betty is the most thoughtful, nicest host you could ask for. The place is very spacious with lovely views. For me it was a bit too far from downtown but if that is not an issue for you I highly recommend this property.

We had a lovely long weekend in Asheville. Hosts were kind and friendly but not intrusive. The breakfast provided was fantastic especially as our flight was delayed getting in, so being able to sleep in a little and fuel before our morning hike was convenient. Space is large and clean. The towels were soft and bed was comfortable. The room was nice and cool and not humid which was nice during the summer.
We found the location convenient to downtown (10-15 min drive) and to the several hikes we did. We enjoyed reading in the sunroom and used the hot tub to relax after a long day one night.
Thank you for having us! We loved Asheville and our comfortable home base!

Fantastic location
My husband and I stayed her for our anniversary and it was the perfect location to explore the Asheville area. The apartment was so comfortable and decorated perfectly! The only downside would be that the hot tub is not private, but we still used it and the owners were gone for the evening, so it worked out. We would 100% recommend and will be back on our next trip to North Carolina!

A little piece of paradise
This is an absolutely fabulous place. It far exceeded our expectations, especially the outdoor patio area overlooking "Mother Nature" at its best. The living area is spacious and just as represented. Bet provided an abundance of delicious breakfast goodies during our 12 days stay. I would highly recommend this wonderful place, and we plan on returning this fall.

The space was perfectly beautiful and I could tell much care went into it in preparation for our arrival. She definitely put thought and care into every aspect of the VRBO and ensuring we had a good time. It's even better than the pictures! Her book of suggestions was also extremely helpful and we used a few of her recommendations. And of course, the breakfast she provided was amazing! Delicious, beautifully presented, and we LOVED waking up each day to an already prepared breakfast! It only let me give 5 stars, but Bluebird's Nest definitely deserves 10!!!
