De locatie

De gastheer was totaal niet vriendelijk tegen de klanten ook was de hygiëne in de kamers niet inorde. In de douche liep het water niet weg, de kamers waren extreem klein op verdiep 2

Goed gelegen en de kamer was netjes.

De badkamer was nogal klein.

De kamer was goed. Vriendelijke manager. Eten was lekker behalve de hapjes.

Het oudejaarsavond eten was lekker maar duurde heel lang. Toast bij de hapjes zwart verbrand. Ontbijt vanaf 8u30 maar eer dat alles er stond was het 9 u. Vermoedelijk personeelsgebrek. De chef zorgde helemaal alleen voor alles.

A nice local hotel. Staff were great.

no milk at breakfast, nobody present at breakfast to speak to. Only 1 waiter working at dinner time, rushed off his feet, as a result service was slow.

Nice location. The original booking was modified to allow us to have connecting rooms with the kids. This was done without us asking for this the owner went through the extra trouble. The breakfast was straight forward and complete. The owner switched fluently between French, Dutch and English.

Nothing really

The location was ok, when booking it is clear you’re in the middle of town.

Very dark inside, dark painted walls in the corridors with poor lighting to find you way. The parking was almost non existant and should have been arranged in such a way that the four cars that fitted would park properly. The manager didn’t bother about it, his words “if you can drive you can get your car out”. The welcome was not very friendly either. There were no towels in the room, apparently a delivery problem and the towels were washed and drying at that moment (this was at 4 pm). At 6 pm we had to ask again and finally we were getting towels. The worst was the kettle in the room, the cable to the socket was not long enough, when you boiled water the kettle was hanging half way over the table, very dangerous ! Also the standing lamp was very wobbly. Breakfast was a total disaster. To get hot water for tea you needed a PHd to use the machine, there was a total of three tea bags and nothing was replenished. The bread and pastries were not fresh (and this with a bakery next door !) and the warm dishes did not look very appetising. We were very disappointed in Best Western, we have stayed in their hotels before and have always been happy. This is a 3 star “only” but even then safety should be taken care of (it doesn’t take much to extend a lead on a kettle). Also fresh bread and pastries are to be expected. And certainly friendliness does not cost anything ! The restaurant was ok, there the staff were friendly and the meal was nice, no problems.
