Gemini Court Holiday Apartments

Fantastic location. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Great size for a family. Kids loved the pool. Would definitely book again.

Apartment was perfect. Good size and views from every room. Kitchen also very well appointed with everything you could think of needing.

Nothing negative to report.

Overall the apartment was spacious and in a spectacular position with a view over Burleigh beach. Loved this. When things went wrong they were fixed promptly. Having a kitchen was great.

When I arrived home Tuesday night and the power in my apartment was off. It was quite scary to be somewhere strange, alone in the dark, so I did appreciate the speedy response from the on call manager. I do hope that the management team have been in touch with the owner post this occurring to ensure the lock to the laundry cupboard has been removed. As the person who came to help me said the owners are not allowed to lock the cupboard where the power board is. If they hadn't done this I would have been able to flick the switch myself and get the power on very promptly. Am also hoping the glass lift to reception has been fixed. My niece and I were stuck in the lift upon my arrival with my suitcase and backpack. While the lift went up to reception and we didn't have any possessions sticking over the lines in the lift the door was simply stuck. My niece was upset about this and felt unsafe. We used the emergency phone and again someone came and pulled the lift door open. I hope this fault has been fixed now. Lastly apartment 127 is not clean. It really needs a deep clean. The inside of the front door is dirty, especially around the handle as one example. Most of the tops of plugs and switches throughout the apartment are also dirty. I ran my finger over the top of where I plugged my phone into the wall plug in the bedroom and lots of dust came off on my finger The shower needs a good clean or regrouting. There are some stains on the carpet in the lounge. The sliding door to the balcony barely closes, it is so rusted. I realize the apartment is on the 16th floor but I still like to lock it at night and 1 night it simply wouldn't pull shut for me to lock. Friday night I had to get my brother in law to pull it hard enough shut to lock.

Location, views (but have had better in this complex), pool/spa. Overall building reactions keeping things fresh.

Apartment itself: Kitchen was sparse & uninviting: no bottle opener(!!!), but two garlic crushers(??), no basic consumables (glad wrap, foil - GC stems to have a low standard on this compared with elsewhere but is a simple host differentiator), some plates/cutlery not clean & needed re wash. Basically a notable difference between Gemini and AirBnb kitchen basics. Main bedroom older furniture, 2nd bed clearly intended for kids; uncomfortable and not suited to adults but not advertised as such. Have stayed at Gemini many times over the years, this apartment on the lower end in terms of value. But at least it was clean and comfortable for a short break.
