In a quiet street not too far from the center (Rotunda da Infanta i Plaza shopping center), nice big room with everything a traveler needs, good WiFi, Good shower, clean and well-equipped kitchen (no cooker but microwave and kettle), nice lounge and terrace (beautiful view at night), minute from the Aerobus stop Nr 8 (Sao Joao) and nearby city bus stop (Viaduto Sao Joao).
After a disappointing first night in a too small room for 2 persons we were given a new room, much better and much more comfortable. Thank you again for the change!!
Nothing really but just for information: Funchal is a VERY hilly city and the road from the center to the Hospedaria is quite steep; so are the stairs in the house (one steep one to the reception and common spaces and 1 or 2 more to the rooms - no lift, difficult for older or poor legs!!)
