Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic hiking trails and dramatic views of the valley and river. Beautiful pool and sitting areas. Excellent wine. Blenders Table was a unique and memorable experience with our friends.
Manor house rooms have smaller double beds and small showers. Limited room for luggage. No private terraces or balconies but room opened out to nice sitting areas. Breakfast did not compare to other 5 star stays we've had around Portugal. Limited choices and quality vs what we expected. Dinner when outside is nice, but dining area not well positioned for views of the valley and river.

Lovely hotel restaurant and winery in beautiful countryside. Restaurant was 1st class both dinner and breakfast. Loved the port, cake and fruit in our room. Recommend the boat trip.
