we’ve stayed in gîte pyrénées, which is absolutely cosy and has everything you wish for. It also has a great sunny terrace and garden in front as well as a superb covered terrace. Nice swimming pool too and very friendly owners. Mirepoix is less than 10min. away by car. No doubt a nice and quiet/remote place to recommend!

quite a bit of flies but not too annoying and for sure better than wasps ;)

The property is in a beautiful albeit remote rural setting. Surrounded by hills and open fields and woods, it is a very peaceful place. Very quiet, and almost nil background noise, save the kids in the pool and local animals! The owners were friendly and welcoming. Pool was excellent, lots of room for kids to charge around in the wider gardens. Stunning views, fine walks (runs) in the locality. Comfortable and spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen. Nice outdoor BBQ area.

The property was very well equipped, however, the bathroom felt a little 'tired' and the lighting in the bathroom was a little dim. The property was generally clean upon arrival although the eagle eyed 'Boss' felt there was some areas that were a little dusty. There was a small leak under the sink in the kitchen while we were there. There is indifferent mobile phone reception on the property - in truth this isn't an issue as yep, we are on holiday! WiFi was fine albeit the rural location determined internet via satellite! It is a fair drive to nearest (charming) town for restaurants, market, shops. But we expected this. Roads are quiet.
